In the entertainment circle, Allen did not make great achievements for four years, and finally decided to sell himself to Kevin and be his long term money boy. Originally, each of them just took what they wanted separately in this relationship. However, after they spent some sweet time together, they accidentally fell in love with each other.. They rubbed their backs for each other in the hot spring. They picked up a kiss of orange flavor on the swing chair. The porridge they cooked for breakfast was soft. The aroma of dessert and fruit tea they made in the afternoon filled the whole house. They went for a walk and walked the dog after dinner. They sat on the lawn chatting. They used the same shower gel and shampoo when taking a bath. They slept in good night and got a kiss in the morning when they woke up... - -Indulgence seems to be a natural thing.

Alyssa was relieved that she was supporting Felicity to stand. She thought if Aaron had seen her with Basil in a hotel, he might consider her a slut. Actually, she was overthinking. Aaron was trying to place her.

Who is she? Do I know her?

Alyssa helped Felicity walk in the elevator. Basil was behind her. After pressing the button, he turned around to greet Aaron. "Good evening, Mr. Gu. It's been a while."

Aaron inclined his head. "Good evening, Mr. Xu. Nice to see you."

They both spoke in a formal, courteous tone.

Alyssa touched her nose, supposing that this must be how businessmen talked to each other.

"Alyssa is young and inexperienced, but she is smart and willing to learn. I’m hoping that you can take care of her and guide her at work in the future,"

Basil said with a smile. He was trying to tell Aaron that he was Alyssa's backer.

Aaron finally remembered who Alyssa was—his new secretary. Alyssa, on the other hand, was a little annoyed by Basil’s nosiness. Harriet had told her that Aaron hated those who entered his company by pulling strings. He only hired competent people and wouldn’t retain incapable ones, no matter who they were.

Aaron glanced at her. Alyssa gave him a fawning smile. Then she heard him say, "Don’t worry, Mr. Xu. I’ll."

Alyssa took a deep breath and wished she could kick Basil hard right there right then. She didn't want any special attention.

After they had sent Felicity home, it was already past dinner time. Alyssa sat in the car quietly. Although she knew Basil had said those things to Aaron for her own good, she was still a little mad at him. She could have worked in Basil's company. That way, she and Basil could see each other more often, and since she was Basil's girlfriend, he could give her special treatments, and nobody would dare give her a hard time. But she didn’t. She had joined JK Group. Now that Aaron knew her relationship with Basil, she was worried that he would have suspicions and think she had joined his company with an agenda.

The next day, when her father was going to the Second Hospital for work, Alyssa asked for a lift. There was still about 20 minutes’ walk from there to her workplace. Her father offered to drive her to the company, but she refused and insisted on walking the remaining distance. She wanted to keep a low-key profile.

At the entrance to the building, she bumped into Callum, who was walking ahead of her with an indifferent expression on his face. As a newcomer of the company, Alyssa thought she should suck up to the important people in the company, so she jogged over to greet Callum warmly.

    "Good morning, Callum."

Callum looked at her nonchalantly. "Good morning."

That was it. He didn't say anything else. Alyssa walked behind him. She wanted to say something to break the silence, but since he was silent, she didn't dare to speak. She had a feeling that Callum was more than what he seemed. So, to make sure she didn't have a hard time in the company, she decided to do everything to win his approval.

"The regular meeting is at noon. Prepare everything Mr. Gu needs, and do the memo,"

Callum said as he walked into the elevator. Alyssa followed him inside. "I will. Thank you for reminding me." She nodded vigorously.

When the elevator arrived, Callum got off first. Alyssa thought he wasn’t as cold as he seemed, after all. What she didn’t know was that he had smiled sinisterly at Alyssa’s reflection on the wall of the elevator.

"Alyssa, come over. Mr. Gu drinks coffee every morning. What you need do is put the coffee on his desk three minutes before he gets here, tidy his desk, and get everything he needs ready,"

Harriet told her. Alyssa nodded as she listened. Then she turned to make the coffee.

"Wait," Harriet said, trying to stand up. Alyssa hurried to her to help. "Mr. Gu doesn’t drink instant coffee. He only drinks coffee freshly brewed with Illy coffee beans. Do you know how to use a coffee maker?"

Alyssa shook her head. Harriet said, "Follow me. I’ll teach you."

Alyssa walked behind her in a fluster to learn how to brew coffee for her boss. What a sumptuous lifestyle! It's just coffee. Why so particular? Would it kill you to drink instant coffee? she cursed inwardly.
