*Update every other day* In her past life, her beauty was destroyed and her skin got burnt in the fire when she saved a man. Her boyfriend, with whom she grew up, broke up with her! She thought she could still live and move on without love. At least she still had her beloved parents. However, her world grew darker when her ex-boyfriend showed up with his new girlfriend. Legs broken, she came across the man whom she had saved from the fire. His skin was also burnt. He was kicked out of his family, too. But fortunately, his legs remained intact. For the next ten years, they lived together in a shabby small room and supported each other. They did not have any recourse of income, so they spent most of their time collecting the garbage and selling them to earn some money. Before long, she died. Jasper was a gentleman. He treated Veronica gently and he was also kind to other people. Crystal was such a fragile girl. Of course he would be glad to help her when Veronica made the request.

A few minutes later, Veronica followed behind them, squinting her eyes and looking at the two in her front. They looked like an intimate couple.

The lady was all in white, delicate and fragile, while the gentleman was taking care of her tenderly. Indeed, they were a perfect couple just like what the 'real princess' had claimed in the past life.

Joy filled Crystal up. She rarely had such a chance to be so close to the man she liked. Putting her blush face against his broad back, she took a glance from the corner of her eye and saw Veronica was trying hard to catch up with them. She was sweating heavily due to the hardship caused by her high heels. Crystal couldn't help lift the corners of her mouth. A smile crept on her face, her eyes looking like the crescent. Here she was, lying on the back of the man she liked, while Veronica was left behind. Crystal couldn't help but feel so cheerful.

Veronica raised her eyebrows in response to Crystal's smile. Then she took her phone out and turned on the camera. Secretly, she locked her camera on them and began to record. None of them noticed it, though.

Hmm, not bad. The woman is beautiful while the man is handsome, she thought. She had a talent in camera.

It was utterly a torture to walk in the mountain with high heels. Crystal had Jasper help her, but Veronica had to walk all by herself. Gradually, she grew more and more tired as she continued losing her strength. Taking a look at the couple in front of her, Veronica found that they were laughing and talking happily. She slowed down and stopped at last. Standing in the scorching sun, she gazed at them with calm eyes. They kept heading forward and walked far away from her.

All of a sudden, Veronica felt a bit dizzy. Probably I' having a heatstroke, she thought. Without any hesitation, she took out her phone again and dialed the number which she kept in her mind. She did not drink any water for a long time, so her voice turned hoarse. "Harrison, I think I'm having a sunstroke. I'm in the hillside of the Lovers," she said with a weak voice.

Harrison grew anxious immediately upon hearing her weak voice. He stood up from his chair while comforting Veronica, "Yes, ten minutes. I'll be there right away. Hold on."

"Yes," replied Veronica before she hung up. She raised her head and looked at the shining sun. A smile rested on her face all the time.

Before a few seconds later, she felt the world in front of her eyes fade away and finally she was engulfed by the darkness. Her ears turned deaf and the world seemed to fall into silence. "Bang!" She fell on the ground and lost her consciousness.

    It was Monday this day.

Veronica was supposed to go to the class today. She had stayed in the hospital late. When she was done the transfusion, it was already close to twelve o'clock at midnight. But still, she insisted on coming back home.

She didn't like the hospital. The smell of the disinfectant fluid would always remind her of her past life. At that time, she did not have much money. In order to prevent the burnt skin from festering, she and Harrison would often go to the pharmacy and buy the cheapest disinfectant fluid. They cleaned their broken skin with it day after another.

Early in the morning, the maid had already prepared the breakfast well. Anna dressed her up like she did every day. The pink butterfly clips, the white dress, and the boring pretty shoes.

After everything was done, the mother and daughter walked downstairs. Before they reached the first floor, Anna turned to Veronica and said with a tender voice, "Veronica, be a good girl, okay? Jasper is so nice to you. He knows you have suffered from the sunstroke. So he came here at six o'clock in the morning in order to pick you up to the school."

Veronica smiled innocently. "Yes, I will. I know he is the best."

Reaching out and touching Veronica's face, Anna smiled happily. "Yes, this is my good girl."

The smile on Veronica's face widened. She did it delicately to play along with her mother. Jasper, who was standing downstairs, saw her smiling face. She was so beautiful that he stunned at the sight of her.

Veronica was pretty. She didn't have her mother's face or her father's. She was being beautiful in her own way. When she smiled, that was the time when the true princess appeared in the world. Her bright smile was even more shining than the midday sunshine.

They had been known each other for several years. Jasper liked Veronica very much. She was a little princess boiled by her parents. There was no annoyance or unhappiness in her world. She had no idea how dirty the real world was.

She was just like a piece of white paper. So pure and white that it could be rare to discover another similar one. She was beautiful and elegant. Jasper wanted to have her and dye her with his own color.

He would get pleasure and fulfillment from his work.

Jasper smiled, tenderness welling up in his eyes. He looked up to Veronica and his eyes followed her when she walked downstairs. When she reached the first floor, Jasper stretched out his hand and held hers carefully and preciously.
