It was a hot summer. The heat waves engulfed every corner of the city. Warm clothes were well placed in the wardrobe, leaving cool clothes for people to put on. Inside the car was a different atmosphere. It was rather cool thanks to the air conditioner. However, the air smelt a bit stuffy as all the windows were closed tightly. It made people feel a bit depressed.
Cheryl was wearing well-prepared, delicate makeup. She did not look like a delicate, fragile girl. Instead, she had heavy features. This made her look to be quite cool. She was wearing a leather coat and a leather skirt, and carried a leather handbag with her. All these clothes made her look like a smart and strong businesswoman. She was aggressive yet beautiful.
Harrison was sitting next to her on the driver's seat. They were not so far away and could see each other's faces clearly.
Faced with her accusation, Harrison remained calm like always. His light blue eyes were expressionless as if they were the calm sea which was mysterious, beautiful, yet dangerous sometimes.
Cheryl lost her mind when she looked right into his eyes. She still remembered the first time she had seen him. Harrison was wearing a suit too without any expression on his face. His tall figure made him stand out in the crowd. His charming eyes attracted her the most. They were even much more shining than the beautiful diamond.
She fell in love with him at the first time.
She liked to look at him, lost in her thoughts. Her eyes were filled with affection and love. A smile would often creep on her lips as she locked her eyes on him.
Harrison smiled. His eyes remained tender. He did not reply to her question directly. Instead, he asked, "I've heard that there are some new arrivals in the jewelry store of the New Century. Let's go there. I'll buy you something. You can choose whatever you like. But before that, please excuse me for a while. I need to go back to change my clothes." Before Cheryl made any reply, he got off the car and went inside the house as soon as he finished his words.
Everyone woman liked jewelry, especially those in love.
Cheryl was so delighted at his words that she now already completed forgotten the reason why she was here. "Sure. Let's go inside. Be quick," she urged.
She also got off the followed him inside the house.
What a scorching summer!
Harrison always wore a suit. It did not matter when he stayed inside the house where there was cool air thanks to the air conditioner. But when he was exposed in the outdoor, that was a different situation. In his past life, Harrison paid much attention to his clothes and manners. So he would always wear a suit no matter all the time. However, the truth was that wearing a suit would be too hot in summer and too cold in winter. It was rather expensive but of no practical use.
He was well aware that he would feel very uncomfortable with a suit. He died once, so now he cared for his body very much.
He chose himself shorts, T-shirt, and a pair of slippers. It was the first time Harrison had dressed like this. And also, it was Cheryl's first time to see him in such clothes.
Truth be told, he looked very handsome in these clothes. However, Cheryl grew angry at the sight of him. She lost her manners and stamped her feet. Holding her head, she screamed like crazy, "Harrison! How could you dress like this? My friends will definitely laugh at me if I go out with you in such clothes! Oh, my God! Since when your taste became so poor? That's totally unacceptable!"
The smile kept resting on Harrison's face. He put on his watch and then walked towards outside, his hands casually in his pockets. "It's so hot outside. I don't want to wear a suit. As for how your friends would think, that's not my business," he laughed.
Harrison had long legs. Cheryl hurriedly followed behind him. It was not that easy to catch up with him when she was wearing high heels. She screamed from behind, "Stop, Harrison!"
"Didn't you hear me? I said stop!"
"I – said – stop!"
It was then Harrison really stopped beside the car. He pulled the door open and smiled at Cheryl. "Please," he said as he made a slight bow.
Cheryl was dumbfounded.
Harrison smiled again.
He did not smile very often. Cheryl rarely saw him smile like this. But today, she saw him smile several times. She felt weird. But when his light blue eyes found hers, she would be drowned in his gentle eyes and would forget everything.
He was so charming and attractive.
Handsome, gentle, a prince charming.

There were not many people going shopping today, even in the New Century, the shopping mall in the downtown of the city. It was Wednesday, a hot summer day. People either went to work or went to school. Those who stayed in the shopping mall were most some middle-aged or the aged. They came here to enjoy the free cool air.
Suddenly, they came across some of Cheryl's friends.
