Jane thought of the phone made by Jack last night and she thought he must be suspicious about her cold attitude. Jack was a smart guy, so Jane could not lie to him.

Jack did not allow anything out of his control, and he must know that Jane had been changed, so he asked Jenny and Moon to threaten her to go back to the house of Swift with their Blake business. It was obvious that she must go back to the house of Swift. Jane asked William for one day leave. William did not asked her the reasons for leaving when he found that she did not want to tell him, so he just approved the application directly. Having met with Jenny and Moon, Jane had been so preoccupied. William found it but he said nothing, and he just thought about it. There was only one person that could make Jane changed so much.

In the house of Swift, Mrs. Blake sat in the garden to drink tea, reading a photo album. Jack came to Mrs. Swift when he came back to company.

“Mom, it is heard that you have something to discuss with me. What is it?” Jack sat beside Mrs. Swift and asked about the discussion. “There is nothing. I think, William is old enough and we should choose a good girl for him.” Mrs. Swift was independent and aggressive when she was young, but she was still a woman with old-fashioned ideas. She thought her grandson should marry a girl with suitable family background. Appearance and family should match William’s, so that she could take care of William after the marriage. And she should deliver offspring for William, which would be the best for our Swift family.

“I have picked up several of them and you should have a look.” Mrs. Swift passed the collection to Jack, but Jack did not hurry to open it.

“In your opinion, you must get the best choice. You could make a decision by yourself. You must have good taste and we will listen to you.” Jack did not care so much about William, so he won’t pick up a wife for his son carefully.

Mrs. Swift did not plan to make Jack to choose, so she just moved on. She opened the album and pointed at a girl, “She is Babe Davis, a rich girl from Davis family in Benson City and an heir of Davis Jewelry Group. The Davis family is not as good as ours, but the family is one of top ten families in Benson City, so she could match William.”

Jack did not care about it since everyone could be his daughter-in-law, but he had to pretend to be a good father.

“Mom, you could invite her to our home if you think she is good. She should meet William.”

“Okay, I will make arrangement.” Mrs. Swift smiled satisfyingly and closed the album.

Jane came back to house of Swift next day. Housekeeper told her that Jack was in the study room on the second floor. She knocked at the door of the room and she heard a mild and charming voice from the room.

“Come in.” Jack knew that it was only Jane who came to study room for him.

Jane pushed the door and looked at Jack reading a book at the desk. He did not raise the head when she came in.

“Uncle Jack. I am back.” Jane came to Jack and stood beside him quietly. She did not dare to say something.

“You are back.” Jack put down the book and looked at Jane calmly. His tone was same as usual. Jane was so scared when Jack became so calm and normal. She would rather be heated than being silent. Silent Jack was so mysterious and indecipherable.

“Jane, are you so busy recently? Why didn’t you call? Did William bully you?” William did care about Jane when she stayed with William. So, he just sounded out of her.

Jane did not dare to tell him the truth even though Jack asked her.

“Nothing, uncle Jack. President Swift does not bully me, and I am too busy to make a phone call to you.” Jane hurried to explain for Jack, and she did not dare to mention something about William.

“Really?” Jack waved and asked Jane to squat down and raised her chin.

“It’s heard that William treats you specially and he even goes to negotiation with you.”

Jack was laughing, but it was so illusory and cold. He pinched Jane’s chin and then he continued, “He even take you to Arche City on business several days before.”

There were few people in the exhibition when William took Jane to Arche City, and William called it as a business trip to others. Jane was nervous when she heard it. She was so afraid of making trouble for William. “William just takes me to the exhibition so that I could have a better study of game drawing. The reason why I go to Arch City with him is that there will be an exhibition there.” Jane pinched a palm to force her calm down to answer Jack.

Jack knew that William took Jane to Arche City and he also knew that they went to an exhibition, but he did not say it since he wanted to look at the response of Jane. Jane did not lie to him and Jack became released. “Jane, look at me. I have a question for you. Tell me, do you fall in love with William?” Jack asked her directly. Jane did not know the secret between William and Jack. She was afraid that William would be hurt when Jack knew the relationship between them. So, she did not dare to tell the truth.
