When Alex heard that, he was puzzled to look at his daughter, "Eva, love and marriage are your lifelong events. I know he has saved you, but this can not be confused with love. We can repay him in other ways, and I am willing to repay him for you, but you should consider your own happiness carefully."
Eva took a sip of her mouth and was silent for a while, then said, "Dad, I'll tell you the truth. Maybe you have misunderstood me. In fact, now I am in love with Paul. I'm willing to spend my life with him as long as he wants. It seems that Wilson and l are really unsuitable."
After hearing that, Alex just understood the meaning of Eva. He was also silent for a while and said, "Eva, my daughter. You're not kidding, are you? If you do not like Paul, just tell me. Don't have any worries. I will always stand by you."
"Dad, I'm telling the truth."
"Well, in that case, I will respect your decision as long as you are happy."
With that, Alex stood up, and said, "I should go, promise me, live happily."
"I promise you."
Then Alex left.
Eva stood there, looking at his dad's back for a while, full of emotions, and then walked into Paul 's ward.
Looking at Paul, who still did not wake up, she affectionately sat down beside him. She had decided that as soon as this man woke up, she would take him by the hand and live in harmony with him.
When Eva looked at his straight eyebrows, his prominent nose and handsome look, she thought that she really loved him so much, then she bent over and kissed him on the forehead.
After a while, she fell asleep on his quilt.
Not knowing how many days had passed, she stood in front of Paul's bed. And Paul looked at her weakly and said in a low voice, "Eva, I will... You should take good care of yourself..."
And she said with tears in her eyes, "No, I can't believe it. You'll be all right, Paul. You can't die."
A smile came over Paul's pale face. Slowly, he reached out to touch her forehead, "Eva, meeting you is the best thing that ever happened to me. Do you know that?"
Eva held his hand and burst into tears. "Paul, I don't want you to die. If you leave this world, what about me? You are so cruel, I hate you, I don't want you to die..."
Suddenly, Paul's hand hung down.
"Paul. Paul." Eva suddenly startled from sleep. Tears fell down like broken beads...
She cried and knew it had been a dream.
She looked at this scene, but didn't know where it was. With a white ceiling and strange environment, Eva was lying in a strange small bed. Then she looked round. There were several nurses in the room, one of whom was coming toward her.
"Hello, are you all right?" She asked softly.
"Where is this?" Eva sat up suddenly.
"This is our nurse's office. Yesterday we saw you fell asleep on your husband's bed in the ward, so we helped you to our office."
Eva grabbed her arm and asked, "How about my husband? Is he all right?"
But the nurse hesitated, with a embarrassed expression on her face.
"What's the matter? What happened to him?" Eva looked at the nurse in disbelief and horror.
"Uh, he..."
Eva looked at other nurses and said, "Tell me, what the hell happened to him?"
Those nurses also hesitated, with the same expression, "You should go to ask the doctor..."
Was it not a dream? Was she telepathic with Paul? Did he really...
Eva felt as if her tears were about to fall down. Finally, she could not help crying. Then she jumped down and ran out of here to Paul's ward without putting on her shoes.
She had never felt so nervous.
No, he would be fine. No way! There must be something else to make the nurses say that.
But she knew it seemed to be a lie. What else could possibly have made the nurses look that way?
But, she absolutely could not accept such a result.
With tears flowing down in her eyes, she ran to Paul's ward...
After arriving at his room, Eva saw Paul lying on his bed, waving his hands and shouting, "Don't touch me, never do that to me."
Beside him, a doctor in a white coat was looking at him helplessly and innocently...
Eva smiled through tears, regardless of anything, she rushed over, holding his hands and crying.
Paul, on the other hand, seemed not to know how to do.
"You idiot scare the shit out of me, you know?"
Paul, however, did not know what she was talking about. Yet when he saw she took the initiative to embrace himself, he reached out and hugged her tightly, "What for? Why you said that?"
The smell in her hair was so good.
The doctor and the nurse saw that they were hugging, so they looked at each other, with smiles on their faces, they quietly went out, closing the door of the ward for them.
"Do you know, I thought you were dead..." Eva still embraced Paul and did not let him go.
"What's the matter? Who told you I was dead?"
Hearing that, Eva just released her hands and looked at Paul, "I had a nightmare just now. I dreamed that you were dead. Then I woke up, but the nurses were mumbling. I thought you were dead in reality. What the hell is going on?"
Paul finally understood that and laughed, "So you are so worried about me. No, just because I'm a neat freak, you know. Two doctors have already come to examine me and I won't let them touch me. I guess that's why the nurses are mumbling."
Eva was embarrassed to smile and say, "If you don't let them examine you, how do you cure your illness?"
Paul put his hands around her again and said with a smile, "Trust me, I won't die so easily. I even haven't had a baby with you."
