The next day, Shawn woke up in a daze, and always felt he had forgotten something.
It took him quite a while to remember that there was an injured man in the suite.
He hesitated under the covers for quite some time, but did not get up. He had only worn a bathrobe the day before, which could only cover parts of his body. He would have exposed if the sight of his look was caught by the injured.
“Why not get up since you are awake?”
A deep, charming voice sounded in the suite. Shawn was startled. When did the guy wake up? Had the guy seen his look? He would kill the guy if so.
On second thought, Shawn decided to sound his out first, “When did you wake up? Have you seen anything?”
“It was about ten minutes ago. I saw nothing but a hump in the middle of the quilt.” Said the man.
Shawn felt relieved for now, hid under the covers and said, “Turn around. No peeking!”
“Judge from your voice, you must be a man. There is nothing to be ashamed of.” The man said in a teasing and slovenly manner.
“Turn around.” Shawn narrowed his eyes, “I am so handsome that you will fall in love with me.”
“Well, well, well. Since the goddess has given orders, we normal men dare not disobey them.” The injured man said a bit reluctantly.
Shawn turned a blind eye to him, lifted the covers a bit, and looked through the crack. Finding the man had indeed turned around, he immediately ran toward the bathroom in the cover of the quilt.
The man caught a glimpse of half pale shank and beautiful ankle.
Shawn went to the bathroom, looked around, but did not find clothes. He was a bit regretting not to bring some clothes back the day before so that it was inconvenient for him to go out now. His clothes were also washed, and hung up for drying, which could not be worn at all.
He had no choice but to cover his head and face with a bath towel. Then he straightened the quilt to cover the whole body, and walked out of the bathroom.
Therefore, the man saw Shawn who was armed to the teeth. He surprisedly looked at Shawn and said, “Is it necessary to be covered so tightly?”
“Yes, it is.” Shawn said, having a poker face, went to the bed opposite to the man, and sat down.
Not until then did Shawn find the man didn’t wear clothes, either. His whole upper body was almost strapped with bandages, and his lower body was covered with the quilt with which Shawn had covered him the day before.
“Did you save me?” The man’s look got back to normal. He lolled back in the couch and looked at Shawn.
“Yes, I did.” There was nothing to hide, so Shawn admitted it directly.
The man narrowed his eyes and asked, “Did you notice anything while you saved me?”
Being aware of the man’s eyes, Shawn stayed alert quietly, and vigilantly stared at the man opposite, “I only saw you were half dead and lying on the floor, and there was none of zombies around you.”
“It was my super power.” Looking at the alert look of Shawn, the man smiled and said, “I can conceal my breath, so as not to be found by zombies.”
Super power? Had the super power described in novels showed up? Was it the same as the descriptions in novels?
“I don’t know what kind of super power it is, either. Let’s call it isolation super power for now.” Looking at his own hands, the man said, “I hope you won’t reveal to others that I have super power.”
“Super power? What’s that? I have no idea.” Shawn said expressionlessly.
The man laughed softly, reached out his hand to Shawn, and said, “Let me introduce myself formally. My name is Ed Liang.”
Shawn did not shake his hand, but only spat out two words, “Shawn Du.”
“Oh, so vindictive.” Ed withdrew his hand, and shrugged.
Shawn rolled his eyes, and thought, “How to shake hands as staying so far from each other?” However, looking at Ed’s drowsy look, Shawn said nothing, allowing the man to misunderstand him.
