Story: To Love Her is To Hurt Her Author:Gu Jiu Yuan words:2240 Update time:2019-12-05 08:00:04
Amanda didn't expect Henry to answer her meaningless question. She just asked about it. What Henry wanted to do was beyond her control.
Unexpectedly, Henry gave her the answer. The man's face had a light smile, and a little sweat on his forehead. Under the crystal light, it was like pearls shining. He gently cuddled her, in her ear, he whispered, "Amanda, you really don't know?"
Amanda was a little uncomfortable with his intimacy. She moved her body uneasily and tried to keep the distance with him. Unexpectedly, Henry hugged her tighter. She struggled several times and found that useless, so just gave up to get rid of him. She lowered her head, "I don't know."
"Really?"
It seemed that he sighed softly, or there were other unknown things in this sigh, Amanda couldn't catch his emotion, "because I love you, Amanda, how many times do I have to say, so you will believe it?"
Believing that Henry loved Amanda, believing this man has threw himself at her feet, Amanda thought it was just myth or fairy tale, how could she believe Henry?
She shook her head. "Henry, you said that. But I just couldn't trust you."
"Never mind."
He took back his arm around her and stood by a foot, not close or far, just like the relationship between the two of them, a certain distance apart, visible but not reaching, "Amanda, one day you will believe that I really love you, love couldn’t be made up."
Amanda bowed her head and didn't answer him. It was always a bit inappropriate to talk about this. Whether they love or not, they were together now. This was the reality, she has no ability to fight back so just yield to it.
She never knew Henry, and Henry never knew her. She could still remember clearly that violent and cold Henry that she met for the first time, compared to this man with endless gentleness in front of her. Who is real? Who is fake?
For Henry's gentleness, she did not feel comfort, but some fear. How did this fear come from? Even she did not figure out it, maybe she was too sensitive, or Henry brought it.
After Henry left, Amanda sat alone on the chair in front of the dressing table and looked at herself in the mirror. She could not help laughing at the woman in the mirror.
Was this her? Was it really Amanda? How could she look so haggard and helpless? Why was this woman so bitter when laughing?
The old Amanda disappeared, she was never what she used to be, not cheerful or confident any more. Now, this new Amanda smiled without any feelings, like a dumb puppet. Even she did not like herself, let alone Henry.
She immersed herself in some depressed emotion, and picked up the phone in the bag, seeing the message from Lucy and Miranda on it. As she watched the message from them, she thought about how to reply.
