It was Peter with a crane. His men were following behind.

Frank didn’t beat them very hard. But the leader was punched on the face and he was now wearing a bandage.

Other villagers at the yard didn’t know what was going on and were all stunned.

“Don’t believe them. They have ulterior motives. You see, we were beaten up by these people this afternoon just because we blocked their way. We can’t move away! We are the owner of the Herb Village!”

It was true that Peter was a good performer. After his speech, all villagers now started to resent the three from P&F.

“My dear friends, you know who Peter truly is. The demolition is a good thing for us. You believe me.” The mayor frowned for he didn’t understand why the guy would show up from nowhere and sang a different tune.

“That’s right. I can be the witness. My brother and I beat them, not Mr Chen and his assistant. Peter, how could you still have the courage to be here? Now get the hell out of here!” The mayor’s son yelled.

“They are stooges bought by these three urban people. My dear brothers and sisters, I’m concerning about our village. If they start the construction, not only our houses will be torn down, our farms, fruit gardens and forests will also not escape. Please think twice! They are devils!”

Peter continued his tricks.

“How much do they offer you? Can they keep you a good living condition forever? We own so many houses, but they just offer us two condos! They must be kidding us!” Peter’s men added.

These villagers began to sway for they only believed in what they could have before their eyes. What was promised in the future couldn’t be guaranteed.

Then Frank stood up and came to the louder speaker. He pulled out a phone and started to play a record.

“Here’s your front money. As long as you can stop Wayne’s construction, I’ll let you live a wealthy life.

“I got it. I shall take full charge of the matter, mister.” It was Peter’s voice.

“Stop your nonsense! You took money from others and leave the villagers’ well-being behind. Now you shouldn’t believe a word from that guy!” Frank pointed at Peter.

It was all clear that he was playing a trick.

“Peter, you’re a bastard!”

A stick flew at the guy suddenly from nowhere. And then shoes, peddles and the like were applied to beat him.

“Ouch, ouch.” Peter protected his head with both arms and fled away.

“My dear friends, please listen to me. We gather here for the matter of demolition. If you don’t have any doubts, then each family is going to sign a contract with Mr Chen. As long as the contract is signed, you can’t pull it back. So is there any other question?” The mayor was considerate to all villagers.

The crowd then calmed down and accepted the mayor’s proposal.

They would punish peter after all preparations for the construction were done.

The guy had a chance to get away.

But he would be a greater threat to Wayne and his project.
