Sharon had no way out. Sometimes it was difficult to tell what the boss really favored.

In the lounge, Zora waited and waited. Sam had no sign of coming. She became impatient and looked outside. Just then Sharon came inside to add water for her.

Just now, he watched her feeling impatient and walking here and there like a rabbit. He seemed to have expected these and smiled understandingly.

“Bang, bang…” Zora knocked at the door.

“Come in.” She heard Sam answered loudly. The door opened. Sam didn’t look up. He was reading a paper.

Zora bit her teeth. She went straight to him and patted angrily on the paper he was reading. She seemed to ask him if he knew how long she had waited.

As usual, if she did this way, Sam would jump with rage. Sam was a workaholic. He hated others disturbed him when working.

Today, however, Zora paid no attention to this. She wanted to make clear what Sam meant. Why he helped her while rejecting to see her at the same time.

Sam looked up from the paper at last. He looked calm and a little contemptuous. He asked, “Yes? Any problem?”

“Thank me?” Sam sneered, “If you have time to come to thank me, why don’t you take time to think it over why you chose Nathan, that kind of poor man?”

Zora felt annoyed. It’s none of his business what kind of man she liked. She replied abruptly, “At the time when I was running after you, why didn’t you comment me that I had problem in judging a man?”

She stared at Sam challengingly and went on saying, “So far, I think I do have problem in judging a man.”

Sam was not moved hearing her. He stayed calm and smiled saying, “We can’t know whether you have problem in the judgement or not until you do get the man.”

Zora just wanted to argue back when the idea hit on her that Sam was hinting her to go on running after him. Zora’s heart was beating fast. She gazed at Sam and said nothing. She was so happy that she could not believe herself.

“I suddenly remember I still have something to do. This is the soup I cooked for you.” After saying this, she put down the bottle on the desk and left quickly.

Sharon saw Zora come out and worried. She rushed into Sam’s office and apologized, “Mr. Shen, I…” She noticed Sam smiled. Seeing her, Sam changed back to his normal expressionless face. He told Sharon shortly, “When she comes next time, tell me directly.”

Sharon was surprised that her workaholic boss agreed to allow Zora to his office. She knew Zora had chased Sam for many years. She thought Zora might be the hostess of the Shen’s.

The other staff came to ask about Zora, “Sharon, who was the woman just now?”

Sharon shook her head and told them not to ask about the boss’ personal affair.

One girl commented, “In my opinion, she must be coming to flirt our boss. But how can she defeat our boss so easily?” She looked tender and weak and admired Sam very much, but she sounded harsh when commenting other opponents.

Someone made fun of her saying, “I think here we have such a girl like that. She is very excited whenever talking about our boss.”

At the moment, Zora was standing in the lift regretting why she hadn’t taken the good chance to stay with Sam. She wanted to take out her phone to call Erin, when she suddenly realized her phone was lost in the lounge.

When she returned, she met the staff who were making fun of that girl wearing a white skirt.
