Most of the people were soldiers armed to the teeth. They started shooting zombies, who came out because of hearing noise, immediately after they came in. Besides, a group of people wrapped tightly followed those soldiers, and dragged away the body of zombies. Then the soldiers divided into pairs and each pair knocked at the gate of the villa.

Seeing someone heading toward their villa, Ed went to open the gate.

The soldier outside gave a salute, and so did Ed.

“Comrade, we are the force of City J, and we have orders to come to clean zombies. Are there zombies inside?”

“No, all have been taken care of by us.” Said Ed, “Orders? You are moving into Anyang Villa District?” Anyang Villa District was exactly the name of this villa district.

“Yes, this place will be reconstructed into a base, which will be used for saving people alive.” Said the soldier, “You will be informed of the details then. We are going to zombies in the villa district, and can’t stay here any longer. Please close the gate in case any zombies break in.”

“Okay, thank you, comrades.”

Ed sent the two soldiers and said, “It seems that there are over ten thousand people coming here. The former base must have been compromised. The base was much safer than the villa district.”

“Have you ever been there?” Asked Shawn.

“Of course, my enemy was still there.” Suddenly Ed’s smell became dangerous, which made Bear White upset and bark.

Shawn comforted and felt Bear White, and said, “Restrain yourself, and you have scared Bear White.”

Ed shrugged his shoulders, and his dangerous smell instantly disappeared, “Have you been scared?”

“Well, you tell me.” Shawn uttered a snorting laugh.

So it was, Ed touched his nose and thought. Not saying anything more, he went back to the couch and sat down. Since it was safe now, he felt a relief. So far, he hadn’t restored energy yet.

Shawn had been sitting on the couch from then on. He was wondering whether he should move to another place. The more people, the more easily his special identity would be found.

“Oh, where did you get the puppy? I haven’t asked you about it.” Shawn’s meditations were interrupted by Ed.

“It came to me itself.” Shawn was proud and pleased, “And it gave me five crystal cores as living expenses.”

“Five crystal cores?” Again, Ed had a flash of intuition, “Was it found around the park in the villa district?”

“How did you know about it?” Said Shawn in surprise.

“Damn it! It is the puppy which has stolen my crystal cores.” Ed looked in hatred at Bear White in Shawn’s arms. No wonder that he had been looking for them for so long, but found nothing. It turned out that it was such a small puppy which had stolen his crystal cores.

“It stole your crystal cores? The five crystal cores are yours?” Asked Shawn.

“Yes, they are mine.” Said Ed.

“Then you are so useless that couldn’t find it was a puppy.” Shawn started saying poisonous words.

Bear White stuck its head out of Shawn’s arms, looked innocently at Ed, stuck out his small tongue, and started going “woof woof”.

Ed’s anger was soon disappeared. The little thing was too cunning and knew how to play cute, and he liked it. “I was busy killing zombies.” Said he.

“Well, those zombies staggering could make you too busy to be aware of your surroundings?” Although Shawn didn’t finish speaking, he had clearly expressed his idea that Ed was useless.

Ed took several deep breaths, and decided to show his magnanimous gesture.

The son of a bitch had been found, however, the former five crystal cores could never be retrieved. Neither could the latter two. Ed started wondering whether he had owed this puppy in his last life.
