"Hasn't Special Assistant Zheng bought it yet?" Tang Wanwan asked.
"He's here," Shen Lyi replied as he glanced at the food on the table.
"Then you should eat first. We'll talk when we have time," Tang Wanwan said.
"There's no hurry." Tang Wanwan grinned when she saw the two short words that Shen Lyi had sent. She knew he was waiting for her.
Mr. Shen, you really warmed my heart.
Perhaps in the eyes of outsiders, he was a mysterious, low-key, cold, ruthless, and resourceful Young Master Shen. But in her eyes, he was a careful, warm, considerate, wife-loving Mr. Shen.
She liked him like this.
He was the love of her life, the only thing holding her back in this life.
They were meant to be together, and they would sleep together when they died.
However, when he wanted to wait for her, she felt sorry for him because he would starve her. The dishes are already served at our table." Tang Wanwan looked at the table where only one dish had just been served and silently replied.
"Okay." Shen Lyi replied without opening the lunchbox.
Ten minutes. Wait another ten minutes. Shen Lyi looked at the time on his phone and thought.
"Alright, let's eat." Ten minutes later, the dishes were almost ready. Tang Wanwan picked up her phone again and sent a message to Shen Lyi. She didn't know if he had eaten or not, but she sent him a message telling him that she was about to eat.
Shen Lyi received it and replied with a smile, "Okay." Then he put down his phone, opened his lunchbox, and started to eat.
Tang Wanwan glanced at her phone and did not reply. She put the phone away and took the wet tissue from Ms Ling to wipe her hands.
After dinner, Tang Wanwan, who had nothing to do all afternoon, disguised herself and took Ms Ling and the others to the shopping mall.
To be honest, there weren't many fans who really liked Tang Wanwan. She didn't need to dress up when she went out. If she walked on the streets, perhaps no one would recognize her. However, her continuous gossip made her a target. For safety's sake, she had to disguise herself every time she went out.
Leading Ms Ling and the others, they walked down the busy street in unison, looking at the shops on the street. The smell of various snacks filled her nose, making her want to buy some.
Ms Ling looked at Tang Wanwan and knew what she was thinking at a glance. In order to prevent her from gaining weight again, she quickly reached out to stop her.
Tang Wanwan was stopped. She looked at Ms Ling with an aggrieved expression and begged with her eyes. Unfortunately, she was wearing a pair of large black sunglasses, so Ms Ling could not see the pleading look in her eyes at all.
After that, Ms Ling dragged Tang Wanwan away. Even after they had walked for a long distance, Tang Wanwan could still smell the fragrance. She turned her head to look at the shop and swallowed her saliva unwillingly.
"Ms Ling, let's take a break!" When they arrived at a beverage store, Tang Wanwan quickly pulled Ms Ling back and said.
"It's too hot. Let's go in and have a cup of juice."
Ms Ling looked at her as if she could see through her thoughts. Tang Wanwan lowered her head guiltily.
"Let's go!" Ms Ling said.
In an instant, Tang Wanwan cheered excitedly. Ms Ling walked in front while Tang Wanwan lagged behind. She reached out to pull Meng back and whispered in her ear.
Meng received the order, looked at Ms Ling, and turned around to walk back.
Ms Ling looked at Tang Wanwan, who was standing beside her and pretending as if nothing had happened. She silently mocked in her heart: Did she really think that she hadn't seen her little actions?
"Where's Meng?" Ms Ling pretended not to know anything and asked.
"Oh, she just said that she dropped something and went back to look for it," Tang Wanwan replied without batting an eyelid.
"Hmm? Got it," Ms Ling said.
"Yang Fann, go and take a look at Meng first. Help her look for it."
Yang Fann nodded and walked out of the shop.
Ms Ling didn't know what they wanted to drink, so she didn't order it for them. Tang Wanwan took the menu and scanned the room. She ordered a glass of lukewarm Hundred Fragrance Fruit Juice, a few snacks from the store, and found a secluded spot to sit.
Because Tang Wanwan was an artist, Ms Ling asked her to sit at the back, while she sat outside to block the way.
Tang Wanwan did not hesitate to sit inside. She took off her sunglasses and put them in her bag.
Yang Fann left the beverage store and returned the way he came. After walking a few hundred meters, he saw Meng standing in front of a store, stretching her neck to look inside.
"Didn't you drop something? Why are you standing here?" Yang Fann asked straightforwardly.
"I didn't drop anything! Wanwan asked me to help her buy some fried potatoes." When Meng heard Yang Fann's words, she looked at him blankly.
Yang Fann frowned and looked up at the "fried yams" above his head. He was speechless.
After that, Yang Fann did not say anything else. He stood at the side and waited for Meng.
Ten minutes later, Meng arrived at Tang Wanwan's beverage store with a bowl of fried potatoes in her hand. She found them and placed the fragrant potatoes on the table.
Ms Ling frowned when she saw it. Her lips, which were covered in grapefruit lipstick, were pursed together as she tried her best to suppress the surging emotions in her eyes.
Tang Wanwan's eyes lit up when she saw the food. She did not notice Ms Ling's change in expression at all. Meng, who was watching from the side, kept winking at Tang Wanwan. However, Tang Wanwan, who was immersed in the joy of the fried potato, was completely unaware of it.
"Meng, you guys go get something to drink first," Ms Ling said to Meng and Yang Fann.
"All right," Meng replied. She gave Tang Wanwan a look that said, 'I hope for the best.' Then she reached out and pushed Yang Fann away.
Tang Wanwan held a bamboo stick in her hand and was about to eat when Ms Ling growled, "Put it down." With a shake of her hand, the fried potato on the bamboo stick fell onto the table.
Tang Wanwan turned her head stiffly to look at the stern Ms Ling, her heart trembling.
"Ms Ling, I'll only eat two pieces. I won't eat more than that. I wasn't full just now, and I'm so hungry now." After swallowing her saliva, Tang Wanwan quickly hugged Ms Ling's arm and said coquettishly with sparkling eyes.
"No." Ms Ling shook her head firmly.
"Ms Ling, I beg you," Tang Wanwan said with a crying face.
"As you know, no one present likes me. They don't want to talk to me. I have no appetite in front of them! Right now, I'm really hungry. Let me eat two pieces! "
..." "Ms Ling looked at Tang Wanwan, who was hugging her arm and acting like a spoiled child while pretending to be pitiful. She was speechless.
For the sake of food, she didn't even care about her image or integrity.
They were in a public place. As celebrities, their image was the most important thing. They couldn't lose it.
Under Tang Wanwan's coaxing, Ms Ling finally nodded.
"Thank you, Ms Ling. You're so kind." Tang Wanwan thanked her happily and blew her a kiss.
Ms Ling turned her head away and drank the milk tea that the waiter brought her.
Meng and Yang Fann each ordered a cup of freshly squeezed fruit juice and iced green tea and returned to their seats.
Tang Wanwan picked up a piece of meat and was about to feed it to Ms Ling, but when Ms Ling looked at it, she frowned and said, "I don't want to eat it."
"Why? It smells very good. It's very delicious," Tang Wanwan said in surprise.
"I don't eat coriander," Ms Ling explained to her.
Previously, in addition to Tang Wanwan, Ms Ling had also brought another artist with her. They didn't spend much time together, and each time, Ms Ling would take care of some things for her and then hurry off to other places.
So they didn't spend much time together. Usually, when they met, it was at work, and they didn't have a complete understanding of some of the habits of their lives, just as Tang Wanwan didn't know that Ms Ling didn't eat coriander.
Ms Ling had officially taken Tang Wanwan along when she decided to return to the entertainment industry. She had received a phone call from the company. The higher-ups told her to focus on taking care of Tang Wanwan. As for Tao Ran, the company had arranged another manager for her.
