Story: Haunted by the Supernatural Author:zhiyuanjiangjiu words:9501 Update time:2023-06-29 12:38:32

The female ghost attempted to break the formation, but after several tries she became furious. She turned and charged straight towards the Taoist priest. Just as Mu Yuzhun prepared to step aside and watch the priest fight her, her hand suddenly changed direction and headed straight towards him, but was bounced back by an invisible barrier five steps in front of him.

Mu Yu's first reaction was to examine the wooden stick on her neck. This piece of wood looked like it had been struck by lightning and grown new branches, which looked like leftover scraps from making magical tools. However, even a small leftover scrap had such great power that ghosts and monsters couldn't get close to her. What kind of power would that complete magical tool possess...

"The female ghost was angry, but the Qingfeng Taoist simply smiled and asked Mu Yu to step back a bit, so as not to hurt him during the treatment."

Qingfeng held a dusting tool in his hand, muttered another incantation, and then swung the duster in the air, forming a large 'Lín' character that was written with the dust. He then waved the duster and the 'Lín' character flew toward the female ghost and hit her directly in the chest.

The female ghost let out a miserable scream, and her body emitted a burning sound. But then the ferocity around her became even more intense, "Old Taoist! Today is your death day!"

The two, one human and one ghost, each applied their own methods. Just as Master Qingfeng Dao was about to defeat the female ghost, she suddenly disappeared only to reappear behind him, exposing all of his weaknesses.

In the moment when the Taoist was attacked by the female ghost, he quickly took out a square seal and pressed it fiercely on the female ghost.

"Splurt!" The Taoist priest Qingfeng spits out blood from his mouth. Then, like a torn-up gust of wind, he flies towards the most concentrated fire. However, the hand seal he pressed was off when he was hit, only hitting the left arm of the female ghost. Her arm soon turned into a pool of blood, dripping onto the ground.

Her hair stood up on its own and she exclaimed, "Apologize to me! All of you have to apologize to me! You all have to die!"

The crowd caught the Taoist priest as the others up front, including Mu Yu, were lifted up and thrown into the midst of the crowd by a gust of wind.

The few people who were thrown away landed on the ground and groaned in pain, while Mu Yu kept her eyes tightly closed, but didn't feel the impact of herself hitting the ground for some time.

As soon as Mu Yu opened his eyes, he realized he was suspended in mid-air. Not far away, the panicked Qingfeng Taoist and the fierce female ghost, full of terrifying energy, were all looking in his direction. He had a vague idea of what was going on and turned his head to see a black fog hovering just five steps away from him.

"This is that demon creature! When did he arrive? Or perhaps he was here all along?"

"Don't look back at the female ghost, her scarlet eyes fixated on everyone. The nails on her right hand grew long and sharp, turning scarlet in an instant."

"The Taoist priest Qingfeng tightly grasped the square seal in his hand but was unable to stand up. The crowd helped him up and prepared to fight this female ghost with their weapons. Who knew that Qingfeng, suppressing the blood in his mouth, uttered unclear words and said: "Immortal! Immortal! Save this village!"

The great immortal calling out was naturally Teng Yi. Teng Yi was enveloped in black mist, without the slightest ripple of movement.

The female ghost looked at the black mist with some anxiety. She had never felt such a strong pressure before and didn't even know that there were such monsters in the village. "We have nothing to do with each other, mind your own business!" she said.

The Daoist Qingfeng turned his gaze to Mu Yu, who was standing beside the ghostly creature, and urgently exclaimed, "Mu Yu! Quickly pray to the great deity to save this person!"

Mu Yu felt a bit at a loss. To ask a ghost for help? Should he beg? Begging a ghost that would turn on him? However, the current situation did not allow him to think too much.

Due to being in mid-air, Mu Yu could only face the black fog sideways and plead, "Great...great...great immortal, please have mercy and save the people in this village..."

"Teng Yi said coldly: 'Call me Teng Yi.'"

    "'Teng... Teng Yi...'"

Teng Yi said again, "Take off the thing around your neck."

Mu Yu swallowed her saliva and quickly turned around to see the Wind Daoist's instructions clearly. However, she found that the female ghost had already taken action at some point and there were several big men lying on the ground.

Mu Yu ripped the wooden stick off his neck and tossed it aside. Suddenly, a black mist enveloped him, followed by a cold embrace. Mu Yu was too startled to react before the mist abruptly dissipated, releasing him.

With a leap of the black mist, a giant black-scaled dragon was enveloped within it. As it moved, it revealed four claws, but on its head, long horns had already grown, and its eyes emitted a red light with an evil aura. Its form had already become that of a giant dragon.

Muyu's mouth dropped open in shock. "Dragon..." she exclaimed.

The Jiao creature leaped onto the ground and coiled around the fierce ghost, opening its mouth and swallowing her whole. She had no resistance and her soul scattered without any struggle.

The crowd marveled at this rare sight that they might never see in their lifetime. They knelt down, kowtowed, and shouted at the top of their lungs, "May the Dragon God manifest his divine power!"

The dragon's nose exhaled a cold breath, standing on the lakeside and looking coldly at everyone as if it were a high and mighty god suddenly looking down and seeing ants at its feet.

The Daoist priest Qingfeng looked at the horns on the head of the dragon with a complicated expression. He was still feeling the square seal in his hand, silently contemplating.

The Taoist priest cleared his throat and said, "I believe everyone knows that this is the great immortal that I have invited for these villages. If you are grateful for what he has done today, why not build a temple for him and accept the incense from all directions?"

The village chief's face still had bloodstains on it. He nodded dazedly, his tongue almost tangled, "Okay...okay... build a temple to worship the Dragon God...we'll build it soon... no, we'll go now...right away."

The dragon sneered lightly and wrapped Mu Yu with its tail, making her disappear from everyone's sight.

"Teng Yi brought Mu Yu back to the Taoist temple. After recovering his human form, he stood in the distance and only watched Mu Yu. He just stood there, watching."

Mu Yu looked at Teng Yi, who was not far away, and saw a hint of fear in his eyes. However, compared to the first time he saw this ghostly creature, Teng Yi's fear had improved greatly. Additionally, since Teng Yi had just asked him to save someone, and he had in fact saved them, Mu Yu believed that he was the legendary dragon and would not do anything to harm the world.

Mu Yu felt slightly relieved at the thought of it. She made an effort to ignore the black mist and gingerly made her way to light the kerosene lamp before returning to the room where she slept.

"Tonight, Qingfeng Taoist suffered a serious injury and needs to handle the aftermath, so he won't be able to come back in time."

He placed the kerosene lamp on the table, glanced at the black mist outside the door, took out a piece of wood and a small carving knife, and began to carve something randomly.

I didn't sleep a wink all night, and the rooster crowed at dawn.

The kerosene lamp had burned all night and was about to go out. Mu Yu blew on the thing in her hand, using the dim light to take a closer look.

Teng Yi sitting across the table dissipated the black fog and reached out his hand to take a look. However, halfway through, he saw Mu Yu pulling back and retracting his hand.

Teng Yi, in fact, had a particularly handsome human body with long legs, a narrow waist, and deep-set features. If Teng Yi were a human instead of a ghostly creature, Mu Yu might have even made acquaintance with him.

"Mu Yu noticed that he was looking at the thing in her hand. She thought for a moment and then placed the object on the table and slowly pushed it towards him. She whispered, 'Be careful, this is made of peach wood.'"

As soon as Mu Yu's voice fell, Teng Yi picked it up directly. However, black mist leaked out of his hand, presumably due to the burning of peach wood.

Mu Yu was originally just idly sculpting to pass the time, but somehow, without realizing it, he ended up carving a dragon. However, it wasn't really a dragon as it lacked five claws, had antlers instead of horns, and no dragon whiskers. This was essentially a replica of Teng Yizi's true form.

Teng Yi gripped the wooden carving in his hand, with a smile on his face, as if he did not feel the burning sensation in his hand at all.

    "Is this for me?"

Mu Yu shook her head, trying to get him to put down the wooden carving. Peach wood is the bane of ghosts and monsters, and she was startled to see the black mist continuously emanating from the hands of the creature. Who knew that as she continued watching, the wooden carving was gradually corroded by the black mist, turning completely black. This colour, in fact, made the wooden carving look even more like Teng Yi's true form.
