"After running for a whole day, was it fun?"
A cold, emotionless voice came from behind, causing Anger to feel a piercing sensation throughout his body, as if it were freezing in that very moment. The air around him ceased to circulate, and he felt as if he had truly fallen into an icy cellar.
It turned out that he had known all along that it was him, yet he still watched himself foolishly acting.
In that instant, Anger didn't know what had happened, as a surge of grievance rushed up to his heart.
Standing there with a firm stance, Angell made himself straighten his back as much as possible, trying not to appear too insignificant.
"Do you not want to say something? Even if it's just a few words." Lu Ze bent down, holding Angel's small body in his hand. "Did it hurt when you fell?"
His voice was terrifyingly cold, with a flat and faint tone that concealed neither joy nor anger. This was not the tone one would use when expressing concern.
Angerl shrank back a bit. Did he make a mistake? No, he wagered on the nobility of the prince and the dignity of the vampire clan. How could he possibly be wrong?
Lu Zehai continued speaking, "This place is injured." He gently touched the broken skin on Engel's body and carefully felt it.
No! No injuries! Angell exclaimed in his heart.
Lu Ze suddenly pressed on the wound, causing Engel to tremble all over.
"Pain? Very well."
Lu Ze moved his hand away from Anger's wound, turning him around to face himself.
When Angel's gaze met Lü Ze's, there was a flicker of guilt in his eyes, even though he himself didn't understand why he felt guilty.
Remember this pain.
In the end, Lu Ze only uttered these words, and then remained silent until he returned home.
Returning once again to this familiar room, Angell sighed inwardly. He couldn't help but feel a sense of irony at how he had been caught and brought back within less than twelve hours of leaving. It was downright laughable.
After returning to the apartment, Lu Ze immediately headed back to the bedroom, while Engel was left on the sofa, his usual spot where he used to lie down.
Looking around the quiet surroundings in the darkness, Angell felt tired after a long day. The feeling of drowsiness gradually came over him, his eyes blinked and eventually closed, quietly falling asleep in this tumultuous human world.
Tonight's Engel will sleep the most soundly.
The night sky was smeared with ink-like darkness, enveloping the entire city. The daytime revelry had come to an end, leaving behind only endless dreams. Silence settled in as if entering another realm, where the world had its extremes, much like the alternating cycles of day and night, ceaselessly flowing.
A dim wall lamp lit up a corner of the room, casting a faint glow. The profile of Lu Zeleng's cold and resolute face seemed as if it were carved, with a profound glimmer in his eyes that did not flicker but shone brightly. He searched through a cabinet, finally pulling out a bottle of medicine and some bandages.
He didn't get hurt much, so these things were all put away in a storage box, just for backup.
The potion has not been opened yet. I carefully examined it and luckily, it has not expired.
Holding a bottle of medicine and bandages, Lu Ze did not turn on the main light but instead brought forth a dim plug-in wall lamp to the front of the sofa.
Anger slept soundly, one could say in a rather unrestrained manner. His sleeping position was always sprawled out in all directions, just like the character Sid from the Ice Age movie...Hidell? Anyway, he slept however he found most comfortable.
A hint of amusement flashed across Lu Ze's eyes. He reached out his hand, and his slender, pale fingers slid beneath Angell's body. With a gentle motion, he flipped him over, exposing his wound.
There were a few small grains of sand embedded in the fur, and because it was scratched, a small clump of black hair stuck together. Lu Ze furrowed his brow, got up, and fetched a pair of small scissors. He decisively cut off all the tangled hair.
Can you imagine how An Ge'er will react tomorrow when he sees that he has a small patch of missing hair?
