When he returned to his seat again, Zhou Hao had completely transformed into a different demeanor. With a smile on his face, he sat down next to Xiao Jue and intentionally pushed his own glass of red wine in front of him, inching closer to his side.
"Hey handsome, you've been sitting here for so long, and I haven't seen you take a drink. Are you not welcoming me?" Zhou Hao leaned his body to the side, propping up his head with interest as he looked at the person in front of him.
Xiao Jue turned his head and stared at him upon hearing his words. He didn't say anything, but silently picked up his glass and downed the entire drink. Zhou Hao's gaze froze for a moment, feeling a bit embarrassed as he scratched his head. This was the first time he had encountered such a cold and indifferent Omega, making it difficult for him to maintain his composure.
Jiang Yan sat across from him, holding a bottle of wine, with a smirking expression as if enjoying the spectacle, staring at him. This made Zhou Hao feel very uncomfortable. He could tell that Xiao Jue didn't really want to have much interaction with him, but in front of Jiang Yan, he had to grit his teeth and take the initiative to start a conversation.
The four of them sat in the bar until nine o'clock in the evening before leaving. Jiang Yan was worried about leaving Zhan An alone, so he took the initiative to undertake the task of being the "flower protector". Seeing this, Zhou Hao quickly went along with the flow and immediately offered to escort Xiao Jue home.
"Since Xiao An has someone to accompany her, then allow me to escort you home?" Zhou Hao raised an eyebrow while looking at the person in front of him, who had a cold expression on their face.
"I don't need it," Xiao Jue refused with a stern expression. After speaking, he turned around and tried to leave, but Jiang Yan stopped him.
"A Jue, it's a good thing that someone is escorting you home. Despite your strength, you are still an Omega. Having an Alpha accompany you home would put both Xiao An and me at ease," Jiang Yan said with a cheerful smile. Without further ado, he pushed Zhou Hao directly in front of Xiao Jue and whispered cautioningly, "..."
"Send A Jue back home and quickly leave. Also, don't lay a hand on him, or else you will bear the consequences!" After saying that, he even showed him his strong fist before finally feeling at ease and departing with Zhan An.
Zhou Hao grumbled discontentedly, watching their retreating figures, thinking to himself, "Even if I were to make a move, would you still be able to see it? You're just being ridiculous!"
Although Xiao Jue was helpless, the fact that Jiang Yan was concerned about his safety when he returned home alone showed good intentions. He had no choice but to agree to let Zhou Hao accompany him. However, this person's words were simply too much. He asked incessant, nonsensical questions the whole way back, which greatly irritated Xiao Jue.
If Xiaojue didn't know that he was Jiang Yan's friend, she would probably have to come up with an excuse to make him leave halfway.
Finally home, Zhou Hao insisted that he was thirsty and wanted to go upstairs to Xia Jue's house for a drink. Xia Jue's face darkened as he thought he had made it clear that he had already refused, but this person seemed completely oblivious and still insisted on going to his house for water.
Xiao Jue took a deep breath, suppressed the urge to punch someone, and reluctantly agreed.
Pushing open the door to the house, the living room was pitch black, just as quiet as always. Xiao Jue turned on the lights, changed her shoes at the entrance, and went straight to the kitchen to pour a glass of water and hand it to him, saying, "Here, drink it and leave!"
After speaking, he put down his phone and went back to his room to change clothes. He didn't like strangers staying in his house, especially unfamiliar Alphas. Fortunately, Xiao Qing was not around today, otherwise, if he saw him bringing back an Alpha, who knows what might have happened.
Zhou Hao nodded and, craning his neck, looked around the living room. He slowly sat down. The room's decor was ordinary, with no particularly remarkable features, but it gave off a very comfortable vibe.
The living room was quiet. Zhou Hao leaned against the sofa, deep in thought about what topics to talk about with him later. Just then, his train of thought was interrupted by a sudden ringing of a cell phone. Zhou Hao was startled, thinking it was his own phone ringing. Reflexively, he reached into his pocket and glanced at his phone, only to discover that it wasn't his.
Xiao Jue's phone was ringing!
Moreover, the caller ID only had two characters as the note: "Senior!"
Zhou Hao frowned with confusion. He felt that with Xiao Jue's personality, the comments he left for others should always include both the first and last names, and definitely not these strange words. In an instant, he suddenly became curious about the person who made the phone call, so he slowly slid down the answer button.
