After Yun Lin chased after the young man, in the blink of an eye, the young man's figure disappeared without a trace.
From the aura emanating from the youth, it can be concluded that the other party is not human. In order to prevent him from causing trouble within the Xuan Yin Sect, Yun Lin has searched almost the entire sect but still hasn't been able to find any trace of the youth.
He did not go to the bamboo forest behind the main hall. That place was strictly forbidden by the Xuan Yin Sect. Every disciple who entered the sect knew that setting foot in that bamboo forest meant being expelled from the sect.
After searching for a long time, Yun Lin couldn't find that young man, he probably escaped. Only then did Yun Lin realize that Yun Yang was not seen when he came out.
Thinking back to Yunyang's appearance, the abnormal behavior of that child after the extermination of the clan, and now the sudden appearance of the youth tonight, Yunlin increasingly felt that there was something suspicious about it. Is there some unusual connection between Yunyang and that youth?
Thinking of this, Yun Lin hastened his pace.
When he hurried back to his room, there was a faint snoring sound coming from the bed. He quickly lit the candle on the table, waiting for the room to become brighter before he walked to the front of the bed.
Yun Yang's small body was wrapped in a blanket, soundly asleep.
Yun Lin carefully examined the child on the bed. The child had fair and flawless skin, with a half-tied, black hair bun that had become unruly from not staying still during sleep. A strand of hair was scattered on the rosy chubby cheek. The little mouth pouted slightly, as if still sulking in their sleep over something from the daytime.
Suddenly, those curled eyelashes twitched, and immediately after, the person woke up, opening their eyes to reveal a pair of clear and slightly hazy eyes with a sleepy expression. They looked at Yun Ling with a hint of confusion.
Yun Lin quickly withdrew his gaze from Junior Martial Brother and saw nothing unusual about Yun Yang. He was clearly just an ordinary human child. Could it be that the lighting inside the room was too dim earlier, and he had mistaken his observation?
"Senior Brother." Yun Yang extended his two arms from under the blanket, holding onto it. He was still wearing the blue Taoist robe of the Xuan Yin Sect. With a face full of grievances, he swallowed his saliva and said, "I'm hungry."
Yun Lin glanced at him expressionlessly and said, "The Xuan Yin Sect has fixed meal times. We won't wait for you if you're late."
After saying this, Yun Lin lay back on the bed, still with his back turned to Yun Yang.
Yunyang suddenly rushed over and hugged his arm, shaking it incessantly. "Senior Brother, I was wrong during the day. I shouldn't have gone to our master to report you. Please, just give me something to eat and I promise I will listen to you from now on."
No matter how much Yun Yang caused a scene, Yun Lin kept his eyes closed and ignored him. He didn't bother using the silencing spell on him like he did during the day.
After fooling around for a while, Yun Yang also found it boring. Knowing that his senior brother wouldn't pay him any attention, he turned around and faced Yun Lin's back. Though his stomach was still empty, he felt a huge sense of relief in his heart.
He didn't know where the problem arose. He had clearly returned to his previous appearance and hid in the bamboo forest for almost half an hour. He didn't see Yun Lin coming to find him, so he knew he was safe and decided to leave Xuan Yin Sect. However, after searching for a while, he couldn't find the way out. It was probably close to the ugly hour when he began to feel tired in his body, and then he couldn't exert his magical power. Looking again, he had turned back into a child.
He worried that if he hadn't left the Mystical Sound Sect yet, Yun Lin would discover his true identity, and he would be in a dead end. So he hurriedly returned to his senior brother's room. Fortunately, Yun Lin hadn't come back yet when he returned, so he quickly put on clothes and climbed into bed, pretending to be asleep, relieved that he hadn't been exposed by Yun Lin.
