The national physician, who was busy searching for something, glanced at Song Jianglin and said, "This has to be paid for." Then he took the list from Song Jianglin's hand and said, "This one is for treating colds, this one is for nourishing her body, as for this one...it's not needed for now."
With that, the national physician stuffed the last note into his sleeve and handed him a box of medicine. "This is the Huaying Fuyong ointment. Apply it on her body to prevent scarring."
"In the past, I have never seen anyone treat me so well," Song Jiang said, looking at the imperial physician as if he had seen a ghost. This gentle and considerate imperial physician was truly the first of his kind that Song Jiang had encountered.
"Could those people from before compare to her?" The national physician glanced at him. In his eyes, she was a wounded and delicate beauty.
"Yeah." Song Jiang nodded in agreement. Those men from before could never compare to him.
"I still have some matters to attend to in my palace, so please don't rush. Take your time." The imperial physician hurriedly packed up his things and ran off with his medicine box.
Song Jiang smiled lightly. The national physician was trying to run away again, but luckily he caught up with him in time. He glanced at the lying Tang Yu and tightened his grip on the hand holding the medicine.
Song Jiang first applied medicine to the wound on Tang Yu's arm before starting to remove the fox fur from his body. Although his fair skin was covered in wounds, Song Jiang couldn't resist touching it a few more times when his fingertips brushed against the flesh.
"What... what are you doing?" Tang Yu woke up only to see Song Jianglin's hand gently caressing his body. The tingling sensation made him tremble uncontrollably, his pale face looking terrifyingly strange.
In an instant, Song Jiang's face returned to normal, and he solemnly looked at Tang Yu. He shook the medicine in his hand from before and dutifully administered it to Tang Yu.
"I, I'll do it myself!" Tang Yu felt extremely uncomfortable facing a man who bare his chest and belly. He stuttered and hesitated before speaking.
With a slight frown, Song Jiang, although he had the idea of luring in a big fish by casting a long line, couldn't possibly pass up on this opportunity that came knocking at his door. He said, "Let me first help you apply some ointment on your back."
After thinking for a moment, Tang Yu realized that he couldn't reach his own back. At this moment, his back was throbbing with pain, indicating that the injury on his back was quite serious. He hesitated for a moment, then slowly turned around to fully expose his back to Song Jiang.
Looking at the slender figure's back, Song Jiang's breathing suddenly became somewhat hurried. He immediately steadied his breath and proceeded to apply medicine to Tang Yu. He was planning on nursing Tang Yu back to health first, and then eating him up.
Unconsciously, Song Jiang's hand gradually moved downward, lingering around his waist for a few circles, carefully massaging his wound.
"That... I can handle the rest myself," Tang Yu weakly said, always feeling inexplicably frightened and anxious when interacting with Song Jiang.
After hesitating for a while, Song Jiang decided to hand the medicine over to Tang Yu. After all, his intention was to be a little kinder to him, as his previous actions had undoubtedly left a shadow on him.
"Thank you." Tang Yu took the ointment and smiled gently at Song Jianglin.
But in Song Jianglin's eyes, it was different. Moreover, Tang Yu only covered his lower body, while his upper body was exposed in front of him. Song Jianglin was immediately captivated and lost all sense of direction.
Seeing Song Jiang staring at himself without any reaction for a long time, Tang Yu awkwardly cleared his throat a few times. Only then did Song Jiang finally snap out of it, hastily turning away.
Tang Yu then began to apply medicine to himself. He lifted the fox fur, revealing his legs. They were pure white and well-proportioned, covered in small wounds. The ointment on his fingertips emitted a faint fragrance. It didn't hurt when he applied it to his body, and he quickly finished applying it.
When putting on clothes, he only realized that he had long since run out of them. So he picked up a fox fur and covered himself with it. He cleared his throat a few times, and Song Jiang immediately turned around, staring at his pure white chest intently without blinking.
Tang Yu shifted uncomfortably and said awkwardly, "Um, about the clothes..."
Before the words were finished, Song Jiang immediately took off his own clothes and wrapped them around his upper body, saying, "You endure for a while, I'll get you some clothes when we get back."
"You..." Tang Yu wanted to say something more, but he saw Song Jianglin had already stepped out of the sedan, leaving Tang Yu no choice but to swallow his remaining words. He handed him his coat and asked, "Aren't you cold?"
Tang Yu quietly lifted the curtain and outside, Song Jianglin was riding on a horse in the cold wind. The strong wind blew his hair scattered over his shoulders. For a moment, Tang Yu felt that his figure gave off a very reliant feeling.
As soon as this idea came to mind, Tang Yu immediately suppressed it. Just now, he had let him off the hook, allowing him to escape. Even if he was magnanimous and forgave him, he couldn't let him become dependent on him!
"Yuer, Yuer, we've arrived."
Song Jiang gently ran his fingers through Tang Yu's hair, but Tang Yu didn't react at all. He was sound asleep, completely undisturbed. Finally, Song Jiang sighed with helplessness, unable to bring himself to wake him up.
Song Jianglin tightly wrapped Tang Yu and carried him into the palace. A group of eunuchs followed closely behind, exchanging glances with each other.
"Summon the personnel from the Shangyi Bureau and have them make some clothes for him." Song Jiang carefully placed Tang Yu on the bed, covered him with a quilt, and immediately changed his expression, sternly instructing the palace maids and eunuchs, "Take good care of him. If any mistakes occur, you will all die."
"Yes." Everyone exchanged glances and their gazes turned to the bed. This person must hold a different position in His Majesty's heart compared to other male favorites.
After taking a few more glances, Song Jiang had no choice but to leave after handing over the prescription to the eunuch.
In the Qinghe Palace, upon hearing that Song Jianglin had returned, Jinghua couldn't contain her excitement any longer. And when she heard that Song Jianglin had come back with someone in his arms, her whole being lost its composure. Relying on Song Jianglin's favor, she went straight into the study room.
"Hua'er?" Song Jiang frowned as he looked at the pouting and aggrieved Jinghua. He set down his pen and pulled him into his embrace. "What's wrong? Who made my Hua'er angry?"
"I heard that His Majesty has brought back yet another male favorite," Jinghua said sourly.
"Has the little jealous pot stirred up again?" Lin Songjiang chuckled and rubbed his nose. "You've brought someone else home before, too, and yet you're still my favorite."
"But you came back holding onto him." Jinghua snuggled in Song Jianglin's arms, drawing circles.
"I'm holding you right now, aren't I?" Song Jiang smiled mischievously as he caressed his slender waist.
"Your Majesty~" Jinghua called shyly, with a pouty expression on her face. She had numerous male admirers in the past, but none of them could compare to the place she held in Song Jianglin's heart. Who knows if there would be any unexpected events in the future.
"Listen, I still have some matters to attend to." Song Jiang lightly pats his upturned buttocks, speaking indulgently.
Jinghua pouted unhappily, got off his lap, and unwillingly walked out.
