“Mom, you know the debt father left us. I had no choice. I borrowed money from everyone we know but there was still 100 million dollars’ gap. Wayne Chen is the one that helped me out of this.”

Tears welled up in Jane’s eyes. She was just an ordinary girl who struggled to support her family.

“We can sell everything in our house to pay the debt. I can’t believe that you are willing to be someone’s mistress for some money! It’s a great shame to Lim family!” Jane’s mother raised her voice.

“That’s okay. You can say I’m not your daughter.” Although Jane was always aware that mother loved Cindy more, she was deeply hurt by her mother’s words now.

She stood up and was trembling out of anger.

Cindy persuaded her sister into leaving the room and gave her hand to Wayne Chen who had been waiting outside the door.

Then she came back to console her mother. She believed their mother would understand what Jane had done for the family and accept her in the end.

While Jane shook Wayne off and dashed out of the hospital building--she wanted to be alone.

As a matter of fact, the reason that why she’s furious was not for she’s scolded by her mother but for the fact that the woman was telling the truth.

Jane became that man’s mistress--toy girl--for 100 million dollars. The relationship was nothing but a trade.

She used to look down upon those kinds of women. But now she was by no means different.

For an instant, Jane felt her arm was grabbed and she turned around.

It was Wayne Chen.

“Did I give the permission to walk away?” The man took a step closer.

He then stopped grabbing her arm and held her hand which he never wanted to let go as he spotted tears in her eyes.

Actually, Jane’s mother was too loud that their conversation made its way into his ears.

The tragedy of Lim family was partly resulted by the fact that Jane’s parents cared social status too much and were not able to choose the right business partners. Sarcastically, this arrogant mother’s medical fees were paid by the new money--Wayne Chen.
