Wayne Chen was sitting at the lobby waiting for Jane for he wanted to have a check on the land he had just bought.
The girl was finally sober from a good night’s sleep and walked out of the elevator.
When she woke up this morning, she found herself lying in her hotel room while the last thing she could recall for last night was she having a drink at the bar.
“What did you do to me last night?” She asked Wayne. As the girl came round, she found she was in her pajama.
“Let’s go.” The guy didn’t reply but checked his watch.
Jane really shouldn’t have drunk. She did make a scene after taking several glasses of beer.
And Wayne managed to bring her back to the hotel room.
He took her onto the bed and stripped her vomit stained clothes.
While Jane clutched his both hands and didn’t let him go after he tucked her into the quilt.
“Please don’t leave.” She wept. Tears were all over her flushed cheeks.
“Okay, I’ll stay.” The guy sat down beside her.
As he looked at the girl holding him tight, Wayne reached out his hand to touch her hair and then got closer to try to kiss her on the lips.
“Henry...” Jane uttered the name, which struck Wayne’s heart.
He pushed the girl away, stood up and got out of the room.
The guy frowned as he shut the door up.
He refused to hear more of the girl’s going to say.
The next morning, they were heading to the land that they had just won.
It was scorching hot. There was hardly a cloud up in the azure blue sky. Fields at both side of the road were full of cole flower. Jane looked out of the window and found a lovely countryside scenery.
She rolled the window down and took a deep breath of the fresh countryside air.
It took about an hour to fly from F city to Hammerfest.
The uptown area of Hammerfest was far away from big cities and preserved a kind of leisure life style. People could be able to fully enjoy the beautiful view of mountains, streams, fields, vigorous trees and flowers along the road. It was a good place to live.
However, people nowadays were always busy in pursuing successes and earning more money. They endured living a similar life of taking crowded subways, going to work six days a week, saving money to buy their own houses day after a day.
They were not willing to go to the hospital because of sky high medical fees, and even didn’t have much motivation to find a partner.
However, Jane was different. She’s never like anyone of them. She was born rich, pretty and smart. She was at the upper class of F city and was free of chasing her music dream and didn’t have to worry about making a living.
Jane had also been the homecoming queen during her high school years. Boys at school liked her. They even thought it was an honor to be able to go on a date with Jane. Other girls were all jealous of her and hated her, while none of them would deny that Jane was perfect.
The fair sent down from heaven had just lost her everything dozens of days ago. She had to learn to truly stand on her feet and survive in this society.
However, she was always blessed--Wayne had led her way into the business world, and she had won the bidding for the land at Hammerfest on her own.
Then their car was stopped by a bunch of people.
They were all local villagers. The leader was wearing a cotton tank top, dark trousers, flip-flops and a straw hat. The guy looked like Peter Pettigrew in Harry Potter.
Then Peter Pettigrew came to their car and knocked the window at Wayne’s side.
The guy glanced all over Wayne after he rolled the window and roared.
“What are ya doing? Didn’t see the notice? No car in the village?”
“Are you the mayor of this village?” Wayne replied with an attitude as the guy had been rude.
