*Update every Friday* After the end of the world, Shawn, who became Zombie King, lived an unrestrained life. He leisurely roamed among the horde while others were chased by zombies. Others fought for a spoonful of food at the risk of their lives, while he owned the food of the whole city. However, he didn’t eat. Others wore shabby clothes, while he lived in a clean villa, neatly dressed. …… He thought it was fair enough to become a zombie. Not only would he be frightened the whole day, but he could also live a life without worry about food or clothing. Um, he made a happy decision. The guy he had met before was rather funny, and he should go and find him.

After Ed fell asleep, Shawn observed him for a while. The guy looked pretty much like a prince as he did not speak, Shawn thought. Then he walked to the French window and looked down.

The presidential suite was on the eighteenth floor, where the position was high and the view was broad. It was the tallest building in this area. Therefore, Shawn could take in the whole view of the hotel’s surroundings.

The surroundings were pretty bad. Cars illegally parked had become a bunch of scrap iron. Houses, light poles, and billboards had collapsed. Dragging their broken bodies, zombies were staggering up the street. Everything looked old and shabby.

It took years, a dozen years, or even decades to build a city. However, it took only seven days or a shorter time to destroy it.

But who knew whether this disaster would be a fresh start?

Shawn twitched his mouth, drove away zombies outside the hotel, and then went to the bed and sat down. After a while, he was bored to death, took his hands out of his pocket and had a look, and decided to find something to cover them. It was unrealistic to always put his hands in the pocket, because he had to use hands sometime.

Hence, Ed found Shawn wrapped more tightly after waking up, because of a pair of yellow rubber gloves on his hands, which should belong to a janitor of the hotel.

Ed felt speechless, took a look at Shawn, and decided to pretend that he had seen nothing weird.

“Are you awake?” Shawn sat opposite Ed with arms crossed, and looked at him through the plastic helmet shield.

“Yes.” Looking at Shawn, suddenly Ed had a bad presentiment.

“I think we should get separated now.” Shawn’s identity was so special now that it was impossible for them to stay together forever. No, it was impossible for him to stay with a human being. Once his identity was exposed, he could imagine what he would suffer.

“How can you bear to leave an injured man and let him die on his own?” Said Ed. He didn’t want to get separated from Shawn at all. So far he hadn’t had enough power to protect himself, and he would certainly be safer if staying with such a capable man as Shawn.

“Yes, I can.” Shawn said ruthlessly.

Ed was choked. It seemed that sympathy didn’t work any more, another way must be found to make Shawn stay, he thought.

“Zombies in the building have been wiped out, and you will be safe for now.” Seeming to have known what Ed was thinking about, Shawn said first.

Since Shawn had said that, Ed knew that he had made up his mind. If there were no zombies in the building any more, he would indeed be rather safe. So he didn’t keep persuading Shawn to stay any longer. Zombies could neither climb stairs nor jump. They could not be helped once meeting a bit high steps. He was on the highest floor, and he would be totally safe as long as not going down.

“Where are you going? Be careful.” Knowning that Shawn would not answer the first question, Ed said the next word immediately.

“Thanks.” Sitting on the bed, Shawn said blankly, but didn’t move.

They both didn’t speak anymore, and the suite became quiet.

After a while, Ed couldn’t help asking, “When will you leave?” He had thought Shawn would leave right away.

“You expect me to leave so badly?” Shawn said, raising his eyebrows.

“No, I’m just wondering. So I can make my plan.” Ed leant back to make himself more comfortable.

“It is late. I will leave tomorrow.” Said Shawn. If it was not because it was getting dark, and he didn’t feel like finding another place to live, he would have left earlier. Who would stay here any longer?

Ed nodded, turned around, picked up the food found by Shawn in the morning, and tore a loaf of bread. On second thoughts, he looked at Shawn and asked, “You wanna some?”

“I have eaten.” Now Shawn couldn’t even eat human food, and he was losing his five senses slowly. That was why he wanted to get separated with Ed so soon. He wanted to figure out why he had such changes.

At night, Shawn slept on the King-size bed, while Ed dwelt in the couch.

Looking at Shawn, who was curling up under the covers, Ed was green with envy. Although the couch was not so small and could be used as a bed, it was not as comfortable as a bed.

Speaking to himself that he could sleep on the bed once Shawn left the next day, Ed felt much better and fell asleep.

The next morning, Ed found Shawn missing as he woke up. The guy must have left, he thought and sigh deeply. What a beautiful thigh! What a pity that he could not make the guy stay.
