They came to the hotpot restaurant around the corner outside Study Garden to have lunch. While what David initially planned on going was a fancy place in a five-star hotel.
Actually, it was Jane that insisted to have meal at this place for she didn’t want David to spend too much and she felt much at home in this kind of local style restaurant.
As they were heading to their seats, Jane accidentally bumped into a man.
“Are you blind?” A middle-aged bold guy with a big belly cursed.
“Do you own this place?” Before Jane could open her mouth to retort, a young man showed up from a suite. It was Sam Winster.
“Who the hell are you?” The bold man glared at him and rolled up his sleeves.
“Mr Winster, he’s drunk, please forgive us.” A thin and tall guy with the bold one put on a completely different expression and bowed over and over again as he saw Sam Winster.
“I don’t care what winter or winner...” Before the big belly guy was able to finish his words, the thin man dragged him away and fled.
“How soon I see you again.” Sam had just finished a meal with his friends here and met Jane outside the suite when was about to leave.
“Yeah, nice to meet you again.” Jane smiled.
“You now work at Hammerfest?” The guy asked.
“Yep.” Jane nodded.
A glint of excitement unobtrusively flashed through Sam’s eyes.
“What’s the matter? Your date?” Friends of Sam’s joked.
“Then, see you next time.” The guy waved to Jane and left for he knew there would always be another chance as she was now staying in Hammerfest.
“What the hell? Winster’s into her?” David thought and made a gesture to both of them to be seated.
Then the three had a nice, spicy and joyful lunch at the hotpot restaurant.
While on the other side back at P&F, Wayne was checking Wechat messages that David sent him to inform every moves Jane did.
He’s at ease for Jane had Frank and David to assist her during her stay at Hammerfest.
After making sure that everything was alright, Wayne got back to his heavy work. He was the president as well as the leader of P&F, which was started up all by himself. Besides, he was finishing the rest of this month’s works as soon as possible to fly to Hammerfest to be with Jane.
... ...
6 a.m. in the morning.
The alarm rang and Jane jumped out of her bed to start her day.
And Frank had already finished his jogging.
What’s more, David--never a morning person--drove all the way here and showed up at Jane’s apartment with breakfast at 7:30 a.m.
He’s driving a black Benz today.
The branch office of P&F at Hammerfest was located at the central business district but the office building was way much smaller than that at F city.
But it had all necessary departments to ensure a smooth operation of the company.
Staff from each and every department were gathering in the reception hall at 8:30 a.m. and waiting for the new vice manager.
“I don’t see a vacancy at the vice manager position.”
“The new one has the way. I heard that she’s close to Mr Chen.”
“Yeah, tell me about it.”
“I know the vice manager is a female.”
“Mr Chen has lots of girlfriends, but this is the first one to work at P&F.”
“Here she comes, here she comes.”
Jane entered through the front gate after the general manager of the branch office.
The general manager was a heavy man around 50, short-haired, whose eyes were glittering with a sense of sophistication.
“Please welcome Jane Lim--our new manager from the headquarters.” Then the crowd all clapped as the fat man started after he finished his speech.
“Nice to meet you guys. Hope we’ll have a nice time together!” Jane smiled to the crowd.
“Miss Lim, please don’t worry. Each and every member of the branch office is diligent and responsible at work.” The general manager gave an amicable expression to the girl.
He had already got the news from his men at the headquarters that this girl was a big role. She was the personal secretary of Wayne Chen’s now. And the president had his own bodyguard Frank to accompany her during her stay at Hammerfest. He should really make some efforts to keep a good relationship with this Miss Lim.
Then Jane and Frank were led to their offices by the general manager.
The moment he got the news, the heavy man moved out of his office and had it decorated all over to be more suitable for a female manager.
He also took some efforts at arranging a room next to Jane’s office as Frank’s resting room.
“Thanks a lot, Mr James. I really appreciate what you have done for us.” Jane smiled. She needed to learn from this predecessor after all.
“Miss Lim, you’re welcome. If you need anything, just let me know. Please take a rest here and we’re going to have a meeting at the conference room at 9:00.” The general manager grinned.
A smiling face was one of the useful armors for these successful business people.
Jane and Frank got to the meeting room at 9:00 a.m.
The conference room was already full as they arrived there. Frank obeyed his boss’s order and always kept an eye on Jane that his sat at the corner of the room even though he hated to have meetings.
“Everyone’s here.” Mr James showed up with a smiley face. And his secretary swiftly stood behind him.
“You’ve met our new manager Miss Lim just then, so I don’t make another introduction.”
Jane slightly nodded to everyone sitting across her.
Mr James continued, “Manager Lim comes here mainly for our latest tour spot project at the Herb Village. And Miss Lim, please let me give a brief demonstration of the recent process and future plans about the project?
“Please go ahead.” Jane smiled.
“In terms of this tourism spot project...” Mr James opened his laptop to show his power point slides and started his presentation.
A common agreement had already been achieved between P&F and villagers about the land as some beneficial articles for the future well-being of these people were written in the contract.
Even the city government paid much attention on this project. The mayor of Hammerfest personally took a trip to the Herb Village to supervise the construction as well as giving supports to the company.
Everything went on well as planned. And the construction was to officially get started.
Apart from hired workers, all villagers suitable for the construction work were all hired to join the team.
Jane worried these villagers would regret accepting the project at first, but she was desperate to take a look at the construction site at present.
