Before Jane left for the site, Mr James had already informed the construction supervisor of her coming and had his assistant Scott to go with her.

Then they arrived at the construction site. Scott kept giving detailed illustration about the site as long as Jane had any doubts. The first thing she needed to confirm was figures. The general supervisor of the site warmly help them to check their ongoing works.

“Miss Lim, I and Scott will measure these up, you just need to write these figures down.”

“Okay. Let’s start with the G building at the corner.” Jane suggested.

Everywhere around the place was busily under construction. As they marched to the G building, Scott reminded Jane, “Miss Lim, please be careful. The earth-rock is being excavated at the G site that the ground here is not even. Piles are being drilled at the E building site, where there tend to be more steel bars and some scattered piles. Please watch your steps! You need to be more carefully near the C building. It is at the middle of the construction process. It could grow three more floors per day. You see over there are several operating tower cranes, watch out your head.”

“Yeah, I see.” Jane listened and nodded. She thought Scott was a warm-hearted and attentive young man.

They soon got to the G building. Several excavator were digging and loading soils onto trunks.

These giant loaded vehicles left the site one after another.

“Scott, where should we start?” Jane asked.

The guy then took the drawing sheet out and pointed at a spot, “Here, there and this spot! We need to spare a entryway between the west wall and the east wall. Let’s take a measure of these and see if there’s any need to be revised. And over there supposes to be a tennis court. We need to make sure a proper space is spared...”

“Alright!”

Then these guys got the work started and collaborate well as a team. And each of them yelled and told her the figure they had just measured.

“The width between west wall and east wall--88 meters!”

“From the G building to the F--103 meters!”

“36 meters between the west gate and the north wall of the F building!”

……

Jane swiftly wrote down these figures on her notebook.

While Frank Su didn’t engage in the measuring for his job was to keep Jane safe.

He glanced around from time to time and guarded the girl.

Figure measures around the G building this morning went on really well for these guys had cooperated perfectly with Jane. Considering there was still some time before lunch, Jane decided to confirm more figures about the C and F buildings.

The process of earthwork was being conducted around the G building. According to the construction draft, plants would be displayed around here.

The general supervisor looked up at the tower crane in operation and warned, “Everybody wear your safety helmet. Accidents may be happening at any second. Please always be alert!”

“Got it!” Jane nodded and fastened the belt of her helmet.

They soon got to the G building. Then the supervisor suggested, “Miss Lim, you may stay here. Let me and Scott go to take the measure.”

“Okay.” Jane gave the draft to them for reference.

They first confirm the locations and then set about getting the figures, while Jane had to keep pace with them and wrote all information down.

Based on the present figures they gained about the G building, it was appropriate for them to have some plants displayed over there. What Jane had to do then was to connect with the logistics department to deliver green plants there. Besides, no loss could be achieved as the weather still haven’t got cold and two or three days’ nutrient solution was to be ensured.

“Miss Lim, 11 meters from the north wall to the courtyard. 17 meters from the north wall to the suspension bridge!” Scott reported these figures as he stood up with a tape measure. However, his face turned gray and shouted, “Watch out! Miss Lim!”

The girl just had no idea of what was going on. She looked up and saw a black object was dashing down right above her from one tower crane.

Jane was stunned and wasn’t even thinking of dodging.

No way! She couldn’t die!

She was shocked and petrified. She closed her eyes and couldn’t believe what was going on with her both hands trembling like crazy.

However, she was pushed away by a force and then tossed onto the ground. Her pen and drafts were scattered everywhere.

She realized what had happened that she opened her eyes and turned around.

It was Frank. He was lying on the ground a few steps away, whose trousers were soaked with blood.

“Frank!” Jane screamed and dashed toward the guy who just closed his eyes in great agony. The man’s face turned extremely pale.

The supervisor then hurried to call the ambulance.
