Back at F city.
Susan Lee was checking her Wechat messages and then grinned.
What she had just seen were pictures of the accident at the site and Frank’s staying in hospital. She just knew everything.
“What a pity! The bodyguard was hit.” She sighed.
“But the game will be more enjoyable then. Jane Lim, I’ll offer you more surprises, just wait and see.” Susan couldn’t help giggling behind her huge sunglasses as the thought emerged in her mind.
She then looked up at the azure sky, “It is a good day, perfect for debt collection.”
For the next second, she drove her ruby Maserati to the McQueen Corporation building.
“Brother Henry, do you really think hiding from me will solve the problem?”
Susan rolled down her window and looked to the guy who turned his back against her. She pressed the horn twice and just couldn’t understand why she was so obsessed with this guy before.
Maybe it was because she wanted to own everything Jane Lim had. What did she have? Pretty face? Money? Actually, she’s richer and prettier than that girl. Shouldn’t she deserve better than Jane Lim?
Every dog has its days. Susan was now the brightest star among the upper class society in F city, while Jane was nothing but a humble toy girl bought by Wayne Chen.
Then she had a better mood and turned to Henry.
“Seriously? The amicable and nice Henry in Jane’s description is a fuck boy in disguise. Oh, my heart aches.”
Then Henry finally stopped and looked back, “What do you want?”
Susan beamed and said, “Brother Henry, what I want doesn’t matter. I need to know what you actually want.”
Henry frowned, but he then opened the door and popped in.
Funny!
Susan snorted.
“Brother Henry, don’t blame me. I don’t have another choice. I know you like Jane, but can’t you see my heart? I have been loving you forever.”
“You and me both know that Jane is Wayne’s toy girl now. She has nothing. Your parents are never gonna let you marry her.”
“But I will not marry you, neither. Come on, if you still regard Jane as your friend, you shouldn’t have done that.” Henry glared at the girl beside him.
Actually, after they left the Lim family a few days ago, he drove Susan to a night club. But he was pulled in by her and then had a few glasses of liquor--what happened next was a blur to him.
However, he found himself lying on the same bed with Susan the next morning. And the bed was all a mess--it seemed like that they had sex last night.
Since then, Susan kept showing up at his company and even his house. His parents were glad about it for they had been wanting their son to marry her.
However, things were not that simple. Henry would just not accept any other women for he only had feelings for Jane.
Then Susan came to him and told what happened that night: Henry was drunk and mistakenly took her as Jane. He held Susan tight and told her how much he loved her, so then Susan let him make out with her.
“We are not kids now. I will give anything you want, but I just can’t marry you.” Henry was seriously disgusted.
“Brother Henry, I know you never like me. I knew it when I was little. But you gotta be responsible for our baby, he’s innocent.” The girl then shoved a pregnancy report in his hands.
... .....
Wayne, Jane, David and Mr James all came to see Frank off at the airport.
The outgoing David was mute at the moment.
He and Frank had been friends for many years. He knew the man meant a lot to the president.
Frank was professional, loyal, capable and trustworthy.
“Wayne, I think you need to take a thorough investigation.” David whispered in the guy’s ear.
“I’ve already started. No matter who it is, he or she is going to pay!” Wayne was all pissed off and determined to find out the sinner.
While Mr James had been presenting a smiley face and watching his manners all the time. Frank had the accident at his place, he’s of some responsibility and he didn’t want to offend Wayne.
As a matter of fact, Wayne wanted to downgrade him for not being able to ensure a complete and thorough supervision and management over the project. But the president’s most essential mission was to finish the construction on time and catch the one behind the scenes.
