The next day, neither Ed nor Shawn went out. The situation was not clear, so it was not a good time to go out.

“Remember, you owe me five crystal cores.” Being bored staying in the room, Shawn put Bear White in his arms, and then went downstairs. The moment he arrived at the ground floor, he saw Ed lying on the couch, crossing his legs. Shawn frowned, went to the couch and sat beside Ed, and said slowly.

“Okay, I owe you for now.” Said Ed with hesitation.

Seeing Ed’s reaction, Shawn raised his eyebrows. He was not used to Ed’s change, and always felt Ed harboured an evil design. However, he didn’t get upset about it, stopped thinking about it after a while, and started playing with Bear White. Bear White joyfully barked and playing with him.

Ed had a look at the intimate master and his servant, and twitched his mouth.

In the afternoon, someone suddenly used a loudhailer to address the crowd, asked all the people in villas to gather together in the small park around the villas.

Both Ed and Shawn went there. They saw crowded people as they arrived there. The park was full of people, and a man was standing on the big rock, which was used as a monument, in the center of the park. The man was holding a loudhailer, and conducting people to stand still.

Ed and Shawn walked to the end of the line and stood still, waiting and seeing what these people were going to do.

“They are probably mobilizing the masses, calming the people, and then announcing rules of the base.” Ed put his hands in his pockets, stood loosely, looking like a rogue, “I mean, could you stop wrapping yourself so tightly? You look really offensively.”

On the contrary, Shawn stood upright, and said, “So what? Anyway they couldn’t see my face, and it doesn’t matter whether it is embarrassing or not.”

“But they can see my face.”

“It’s none of my business. I didn’t ask you to stand beside me.”

“Hey! What’s wrong with you? I am just worrying about you.”

“Being worrying about me?” Said Shawn ambiguously. Suddenly, he looked in another direction and said, “You’d better worry about yourself now.”

Ed looked in the direction where Shawn looked. Suddenly, his face turned black. He went up to take Shawn’s hand, squeezed themselves into the crowd, and disappeared soon.

Seeing this, the people coming for Ed swiftly ran toward them. However, there were too many people over there. Even if Shawn was dressed offensively, they could not be found in a short time. So they fiercely cursed, and then left.

In the crowd, Shawn asked, “Do you know them?”

“It is them who have made me got injured so badly.” Ed looked gloomy and said, “It is unexpected that they dare come here first.”

“Who not dare?” Said Shawn with a casual air, “If I had such an enemy like you who could only know how to run away, of course I would go after him.”

“Hey! Could you please stop ridiculing me?” Said Ed with resentment, “Revenge is a dish best served cold.”

Shawn shrugged his shoulders, anyway, it was none of his business. Ed could do whatever he liked.

After a while, Shawn suddenly said, “I feel uncomfortable unless ridiculing you.”

“?” Ed was stunned for a moment, however, he soon got it. It was Shawn’s reply to his question.

He twitched his mouth, suddenly narrowed his eyes, and said playfully, “Hey! Have you fallen in love with me?”

Hearing this, Shawn was frozen, and then said, “It’s all in your head. A man should not be too narcissistic.”

Ed said smilingly, “Beating is a sign of affection, and cursing is a sign of love. You kept being so mean to me that you can cause my attention, right?” He patted Shawn’s shoulder, and said, “Stop being like this, and you have successfully caused my attention.”

Being stunned by what Ed said, where had he drawn such a conclusion, Shawn thought. What was more, he didn’t even feel embarrassed to use such stunning lines!
