    The Zombie King's Marvelous Life[bxb]

*Update every Friday* After the end of the world, Shawn, who became Zombie King, lived an unrestrained life. He leisurely roamed among the horde while others were chased by zombies. Others fought for a spoonful of food at the risk of their lives, while he owned the food of the whole city. However, he didn’t eat. Others wore shabby clothes, while he lived in a clean villa, neatly dressed. …… He thought it was fair enough to become a zombie. Not only would he be frightened the whole day, but he could also live a life without worry about food or clothing. Um, he made a happy decision. The guy he had met before was rather funny, and he should go and find him.

Chapter 30 Entering the Parking Lot

While they were walking out of the base, Shawn saw a group of people working hard to build walls about five kilometers away from the villas. They poured soil dug out on site, added something to it, started mixing and compacting, and then used bricks made from these materials to build walls.

Shawn thought, the leader of the base was rather smart, and knew how to use local materials. Therefore, there was no chance that walls couldn’t be built because they were short of materials. Neither were too many construction materials needed so that lots of manpower and materials could be saved.

“Building walls could also earn contribution points, however, only a few. It earns much more to make a team and go out for tasks.” Looking at those working hard to build walls, Ed said.

“Absolutely, however, it is more dangerous to go out. More people don’t feel like going out and facing zombies.”

“Frankly, zombies are not so terrifying. They are stupid and slow, and even women and children could kill them as long as being careful.” Ed felt Bear White, which had been put in his arms by Shawn.

“But how many people got big balls killing zombies?” Shawn hit the nail on the head.

Most people knew about it, however, not many people had the courage to rush ahead and kill zombies. Lots of them would rather hide in the safe base, hiding in the shelter of others.

So did Ed know about it. He sighed a deep sigh, but said nothing.

They both had a clear and specific aim, heading toward malls and supermarkets around the villa district. However, most of malls and supermarkets had been almost empty as they reached there.

They had anticipated the result, so they were not very disappointed. They started looking for a car. With a car, it would be much more convenient for them to look for food.

They walked for quite a while, got out of the range of the villas, and came to a community nearby. All the way, they killed zombies and scooped out their crystal cores while meeting few zombies. As zombies overwhelmingly outnumbered them, Ed used his super power to avoid zombies, and Shawn pretended to use super power to do so.

Neither a car in good condition nor a man was found after they walked for about two hours. Just like those supermarkets and malls, cars in good condition must have been taken by others. As for men, it seem that they had gone farther looking for available supplies.

“Damn it! We haven’t even found a motorbike!” Finding nothing, Ed was a little upset.

Shawn felt speechless. Although it was out of the range of the villas here, it was still around the rich community. Those living here would rather afford a car than choose a motorbike.

Some motorbikes were more expensive than cars, there were motorbike fans collecting motorbikes, however, few people would buy a motorbike after all. So it was rather difficult to find a motorbike here. Maybe Ed got stroke of luck that day, and found a shabby but workable bicycle.

“Let’s go farther.” Presumably, food and other supplies must have been taken away by those who had been transferred passing here. They had to go farther looking for cars. There was no way that a car could not be found in a farther place.

“How about we go to check the parking lot?” Walking for a while, Ed suggested.

“Okay, let’s go.” A parking lot, especially the underground one, should rarely be visited by people.

They walked into the underground parking lot of a community. Looking at the dark entrance, they did not go inside at once but hesitated.

“What if there are zombies inside?” Ed stared at the dark entrance, and said.

“You have super power, and it can last a long time.” Shawn also stared at the entrance and said.

“But I’m afraid of darkness.” Said Ed.

They looked at each other. Staring at the helmet shield for quite a while, Shawn turned his head away and said, “Me, too.”

They both felt speechless. Finally, they decided to look for illumination device first.

They came to a convenience store nearby. Obviously, the store had been visited by others. Groceries were everywhere, some food was crushed underfoot, packs were here and there, and several shelves had fallen.

There carefully bypassed the fallen shelves, got separated, and started looking for illumination device. The convenience store was big, and had a satisfactory variety of goods. Occasionally, they could find some useful things which had not been taken by others. All these things were collected by them at last.

Finding flashlights, they both left. As Shawn left, he found a long towel, made it into a baggage, put Bear White inside, and backed it. Bear White stayed quietly, only showed its small head, and looked around.

With light, they both had courage to enter the underground parking lot. Holding flashlights in their hands, they went into the parking lot side by side.

The entrance of the parking lot looked like a big mouth, which devoured two men and a puppy.
