Staying in the villa for a whole day, Shawn decided to go out. He was running short of crystal cores, and so many people had come. He worried that he couldn’t help eating people once crystal cores ran out.

There were people everywhere in the villa district before. With his ability, he was unable to sneak out without being noticed, but could only wait for notice. Since it was allowed to go out now, certainly he wouldn’t stay inside the villas any longer.

He talked to Ed about it as he left. Hearing this, immediately Ed said he wanted to go out, too. He said, “My food is running out, and I need to collect more. Besides, I’m tired of eating bread every day. So I decided to find an alcohol pot and boil some food for a change.”

Shawn’s eyes lit up. Yes, he could find an alcohol pot to boil food. Certainly he wouldn’t boil food for himself, but for Bear White. He didn’t need food, however, the puppy needed.

Making up their minds, Shawn and Ed went to the task center and signed up for a team that very day.

Their team was named after the name of Bear White.

“There are only two of you?” The receptionist was a young girl who was in her twenties. Hearing there were only two of them for a team, she was rather surprised.

The base was just set up, and there were not many people coming to sign up. Normally, there were more than two people coming together, and even a dozen or dozens of people sometimes. However, it was only today when she saw two men coming together, a handsome man and a man dressed oddly.

“Yes.” Ed nodded with a smile.

Ed had a handsome look, and looked even more charming as he smiled. The receptionist instantly blushed, “Then you must be pretty tough?” Otherwise, how dare they make a team of only two people? It was known that for those who signed up for a team, their lives were in their own hand, and the base wouldn’t give a shit about them.

“Thanks.” Ed smiled humbly and said, “We don’t have any acquaintances here, so we have to make a team of ourselves.”

“Then why not join the team of the base? The wages are low, however, it is much safer than making a team of yourselves.” Most people had covered themselves with dirt since doomsday came. Finally managing to meet a handsome man dressed in tidy, the receptionist couldn’t help talking too much.

“My brother has a bad temper, and I worry that he would cross others.” Having a look at Shawn, who was five steps away from him, Ed kept his voice down.

The receptionist looked at Shawn, who was wrapped tightly and dressed weirdly, and gave Ed a sympathetic eye. Only judged by his looks, the guy was a weirdo.

Finishing the procedure of signing up, Shawn was full of questions, and walked out of the task center, the receptionist looking at him with strange eyes.

“What did you say to her? Why did she look at me in that way?” Shawn doubted very much that it was Ed who had played tricks.

“Nothing. Maybe she just thought you were dressed weirdly.” Ed extended his hands with his palms up.

Shawn narrowed his eyes, looked at Ed for a while, and then turned his head away. He didn’t doubt what Ed said, because indeed he was dressed weirdly, not only before but also after doomsday.

“So we take Bear White with us?” After signing up for a team, they were allowed to go out and come in freely. Ed was in a good mood.

“Certainly.” Bear White could search for crystal cores, of course they would take it together. Even if not for this purpose, the puppy should be taken out for a walk. It was suffocating to keep it in the villa all the time.

“I’m going to bring a car back. The bicycle is too hard to ride, and could not be used for carry people, either.” Said Ed. Especially for that old and shabby bicycle.

“Okay.” So did Shawn want transport. Hence he had no objection to Ed’s proposal.

“Your injury... How is it?” Being about to leave the base, Shawn turned around and asked.

“Much better.” Ed twitched his mouth and said, “Take it easy, I won’t hold you back.”

Shawn turned his head back and thought, Ed was rather handsome as being serious, especially his smile with a bit of misbehavior, which showed his manly charms. Tut-tut, God knows how many girls would have been turned on by him if it had been before doomsday.
