“I have to leave town for a few days. Keep Lindsey safe, Mo.” Wayne gently tapped Mo Peyton on the shoulder.

“How dare you leave me alone here.” Lindsey looked at Wayne and smiled.

“It’s my first day at F city. You just treated me one meal and go away?” She kidded.

“I know the city much better than this guy. Let me take you visit around. He cares nothing except his work.”

Mo invited Lindsey into his own car--it was what he always did for his friend--clearing up messes that Wayne didn’t care to please.

A minute later, Wayne pulled a long face after he answered a phone call. He drove his way back to the company instead of going home.

“Inform all project managers to assemble at No.1 conference room.” Wayne ordered his assistant, then took a glance at Jane and said, “Come with me.”

As they arrived at the meeting room, all project managers of P&F were already sitting beside the table.

Jane followed Wayne into the room as she was stared by all these senior employees.

She was almost scared to death at first, but she was greatly calmed down when she’s aware that the guy was by her side.

“Tell me about the real estate project at Hammerfest.” Wayne moved his lips as he stood down.

A middle-aged man with a very short crop opened his lap top and started to make a demonstration about the project with well displayed power point slides.

Jane sat behind Wayne Chen and took her notes. Although she didn’t know anything about the Hammerfest project, she then gradually got to understood how tricky the project was from the presentation and what Wayne enquired from time to time.

The project was about a land site for construction which had been agreed to be exclusive for P&F at the Hammerfest district in another province.

However, a few days ago, All-star Group got in the way from nowhere and began to bid for the land as well.

So Wayne made a decision of taking a business trip to Hammerfest after the meeting.

Of course, he was taking Jane with him no matter whether she’s willing or not.

On seeing her worrying expression, he consoled her in a deep and sexy voice, “Take it easy. The trip will take less than a week. I’ve made a phone call to the hospital and your mother’s in good condition. Frank’s gonna drive you to see her.”

Jane didn’t reply. She just didn’t get it that why this man on earth could read her mind this easily.

“Aren’t you leaving?” Wayne asked after he had put all his files in order.

“Coming soon.” Jane dropped these two words and stormed into her own office. Her heart was beating like crazy.

Frank Su didn’t speak to Jane Lim as they were leaving for the hospital. Sounds of text message alert were the only noises broke the dead silence.

Jane wanted to chatted to Frank but she failed to make a start.

What’s more, Frank escorted Jane all the way to her mom’s room--he was Wayne’s favorite bodyguard for his was ultimately responsible.
