“Wait...” Jane managed to catch up with Wayne and was then pissed off by his words.

“You wanna get the truth? Go to Hammerfest with me tomorrow.” The guy dropped these words and drove away.

And he didn’t answer her calls or reply her messages.

No matter how furious Jane was, she could do nothing but nailbiting.

If Jane was a fox in the forest, Wayne was the most experienced hunter.

The guy was just so manipulative.

So she got back to the patient room, exhorted Cindy to take good care of their mother and went home to pack her things.

The next morning, Frank Su came and drove her to Wayne’s personal airport.

The guy was the only one who bought private planes and built a private airport for his own aircraft collections.

The flamboyant personality of his gained him lots of female fans as well as numerous enemies.

Wayne was already in the jet. The driver started the engines after Jane and Frank had fastened their seat belts.

There was no sound except Wayne pouring his drinks in the cabin.

“Do you have anything to tell me?” Jane gazed at the guy sitting across her. She was desperate at reading his mind but the reality was that she just never understood this man.

“No.” Wayne moved his lips and poured another glass of wine.

“Liar!” Jane snatched the container away from his hand.

“Are you calling yourself?” The guy looked up. There was still a bruising around his left eye corner.

For the next second, Frank stood up and hid into the operator cabin to leave both of them alone.

“I come with you on this business trip for I wanna know the truth about my father’s death, not watching you have these drinks.”

“Shouldn’t you always be where your master goes?” Wayne spoke with a cold voice and looked up at this strikingly pretty face.

Jane looked away to avoid his eyes, “Henry told me that he had already transferred 200 million dollars on your bank account. The extra 100 million dollars is the interest he paid you.”

But Wayne snorted as the response.

He gave the exact same expression as what he wore the night when Jane came to his mansion for help, which bought Jane’s memory back.

“You’re still my toy girl.” Wayne then replied these words.

Regardless of what she said, he didn’t give another word but pointed to a contract on the table and made a gesture for her to sign it.

It was just an employment contract for Jane to become a member of the official staff in P&F.

As a matter of fact, it was reasonable for her to accept it and work at P&F to support herself.

In addition, she could also go to McQueen Corporation for Henry would give and realize anything she asked for. However, what if his parents...

Then Jane glanced over terms in the contract, hesitated for a moment and signed her name on it.

Wayne put the contract away, pulled his cell phone out and played a record to her.

“Don’t push me too far.” It was her father.

    Then it was busy tone.

“This was a part of the last record in your father’s phone. The record was deliberately destroyed after he’d died. This is what I can restore by now, which is helpful in confirming my assumption about your father’s death. I believe it is relevant with the intrigue among several consortia. I’m not taking you solely on a business trip but also going to meet leaders of these consortia. I assume you won’t let the chance flee.”

While Jane gazed at the man and asked, “What do you truly want? Why are you willing to help me?”

“What do you think you can give me?” The guy lit up a cigarette and gently cuddled the girl into his arms.

“I’m just an ordinary employee of yours.” Jane replied.

“Have you ever heard of secretaries being harassed by their bosses?” Wayne’s hand was traipsing around Jane’s slender waist. After consuming a whole bottle of wine, he was not quite sober at the time. Then he got closer and was about to kiss the girl on the lips. However, he looked into a pair of glaring eyes.

“You fool, Jane Lim. You’re gonna regret it.” He pushed the woman away.

    ... ...

When Jane and Wayne were waiting for Frank to finish checking in at the hotel lobby.

    “Wayne!”

It was Lindsey Finn. She had her curly hair dyed brown and was wearing off-white Chanel suit, red Jimmy Choo heels and the latest Prada handbag.

“Jane, you’re here!” She warmly hugged Jane as what she liked to greet people back in America.

Wayne smiled at Lindsey for he had the idea that she would also attend the bidding tomorrow.

“Actually I didn’t expect Casso is interested in the land as well.”

“Yeah, now you get it. I’m here for Casso. But you should know who you’re actually competing.”

    “Of course.”

“Don’t give way to beauties. I thought you would bring some of your best assistants here.” Lindsey took a glance at Jane.

“The host is holding a dinner party tonight, which will be the last chance of winning the bid. But from what I could see by now, you don’t have much advantage.”

The guy nodded and understood what she’d implied.

Jane noticed that this confident and arrogant man only followed Lindsey’s advice.

If he was a wild horse, then the woman in front of him now was the halter to control him.

Then their conversation went go in a harmonious atmosphere. Jane stepped away and was all mixed up. She couldn’t tell what she was feeling right now--jealous, furious, lost or grieved...

After all, she was not the one for Wayne. By the time she’d find out the truth and pay all her debts, she’s bond to vanish from his world.

She got to her room and started to unpack her things. Then her phone sang--it was Henry.

    She didn’t answer it.

A minute later, there came a short message.

It read, “My honey, I have talk to the hospital and bring your mother back home. I also bought your old house for your family to live there again. Everything’s fine back home. Please take care.”

Jane was greatly moved. Henry was still her man, her lover!

“Thank you.” Jane typed. Her gratitude was beyond these two words.

“I will wait for the day when you speak ‘I love you’ to me again.” The guy replied.

She blushed and could imagine him smiling to her at the other end of the line.

“Go to the dinner party with me tonight.” Wayne’s voice was as cold as ice.

“You may go with Miss Lee. I don’t like the situation. Besides, I don’t bring a gown with me.”

“I’m outside your door. Get out now.”

    ......
