Wayne dragged Jane out of the hotel room and was leading the way on busy streets in Hammerfest.

Unexpectedly, three or four kids drew Jane’s attention.

A little girl was rebuking two boys lowering their heads in front of her like a boss. The scene reminded Jane of what had happened so many years ago.

“Susan Lee is my best friend. You’re not allowed to bully her!” The young Jane yelled and was pointing two little boys.

“Don’t do silly things. You’re a girl. Promise me, okay?” Henry’s heart ached as he spotted the wound on Jane’s forehead.

“Okay. I see. Can I come to your home and apply some medicine? My mom will criticize me if she sees me like this.” Jane winked with bright eyes.

“Alright. Let’s go.” Young Henry held Jane’s hand up and looked around at a boy standing a few meters away.

“Come on, Wayne.” The girl called.

Young Wayne clutched his fists as he took a glance at her and then dashed to those older boys who caused Jane’s wound...

Jane had been brave and she just did whatever she wanted to ever since she was a child. But what she wasn’t aware was that someone had always been there to guard her and protect her from danger.

    “The light’s green.” Wayne reminded.

“I just don’t understand why I, you and Henry are never getting back together.” Jane looked up at the man who was now a mystery to her. The unyielding little boy played with her was the richest guy in F city now.

There was an invisible wall between them, which was blocking Jane from truly seeing his heart.

Wayne didn’t reply but kept on walking with a poker face.

“There is it. We are buying some clothes.” The guy stopped in front of a couture shop. The store had been flamboyantly decorated that it was still eye-catching between Louis Vuitton and Hermes.

“Welcome!” They were warmly greeted by two model-like shop assistants as they stepped into the store.

“Wow, finally! You bring your girlfriend here!” A stylish young man appeared and came to them. The handsome guy had fair skin and was wearing a perfect makeup.

“Offer you a chance to rob my wallet.” Wayne replied with a grin.

“That’s it. I thought I never had a chance to earn a penny from you. Who’s the lucky one to have done magic on you?” Jane was surprised that the guy started to chatted with Wayne Chen like they had known each other for years.

“Who’s this girl? Don’t you make an introduction?” After the man dropped his words, he even tried to grab Wayne’s arm.

However, the man dodged and stepped back with a disgusted expression for he hated being touched by men. Then he turned to Jane--who didn’t realize what had happened yet.

“Jane, Go and see if there’s anything you like.”

“Well, well, well, what a beautiful name! Just as pretty as its owner! Here are all my latest collection for this SS season. And by the way, my name is Yong Gu.” The good-looking chap reached out his hand which was then sadly withdrawn by Wayne Chen.

“Yong Gu? So you are the world famous top three fashion designer David Gu?” Jane’s eyes widened with admiration. It was her teenage dream to be able to own a gown designed by him. David Gu was extremely expensive!

While the designer had his rules that he only sold his works to those he accepted, which meant that some could never buy one cloth from him no matter how much they paid.

As for David Gu, each and every work designed by him was like his child so that he was never willing to give them away to everyone.

The moment he looked into Jane’s round and bright eyes, the designer like the girl. He redeemed the girl deserved every piece of work he had made.

Some light colors such as baby blue, apple green, goose yellow and lavender were chosen for new arrivals of this season.

Jane fell in love with each and every dresses, skirts, blouses, jackets, knits and the like in the store as soon as her eyes met these garments.

It took about an hour for her to try over a dozen of clothes. Then she selected a dress and decided to pay it.

“That’s it?” Wayne stood up from the couch.

Jane hesitated a second and nodded for she wanted to take another long gown as well.

However, to her greatest surprise, shop assistants had already packed all the garments she’d tried on and put shopping bags on the side table in front of her.

“No way. You bought them all?” Jane couldn’t believe her eyes.

“Don’t you wanna have it if you try it on?” Wayne asked.

David Gu was greatly amused, “My dear, this is the first time he shops with a girl. Just let him pay your bills. He’s too rich.”

“Well, you don’t have to buy them all.” Although Jane did love these clothes, they were overly expensive.

“I have already paid the money. Come on, let’s go.”

“Come here anytime you like, my dear, I’ll give you a discount.” David beamed from the bottom of his heart as he walked them to the door.

    .....

A few hours later, Jane walked into the dinner party with Wayne in that lavender v-neck long gown. She caught all the attention as soon as she stepped on the dance floor.

    “Who are they?”

“Don’t you know him? That’s Wayne Chen, the president of P&F.”

“Oh, I see. The new richest guy, he’s so young.”

“Oops, isn’t that the first daughter of Mr Lim?”

    “When did they get together?”

“Wayne Chen is the ultimate playboy?”

    “Well, that girl’s gonna suffer.”

“I remember she’s engaged with the heir of McQueen Corporation.”

    “The engagement means nothing nowadays.”

Jane and Wayne then became the topic of gossips for other guests that night.

All eyes were on these two young figures. Men regret of not having woo Jane before Wayne did, while women were all jealous of Jane and discussed about all dirt means they could imagine for her to exert to be with an outstanding man like Wayne.

“Nice to meet you.” A well-built slender young man came to them.
