Justin laughed in his heart. He knew it was impossible for him to do so. He lowered his voice and asked directly, “Since childhood, you’ve been trained to be simple and direct. You’ve long been tired of troublesome issues. Why did you get into this trouble voluntarily?! When Tony talked with me about this issue in your presence, I declined in spite of the friendship between our two families. But now…” Justin didn’t go on, but Saxon knew what he wanted to say. And he knew it was not necessary to hide something from his father. He stood in the dark. He didn’t turn on the light, as if the darkness in the bedroom might help him see clearly what he really wanted. One by one word, he told his father seriously, “I love Winnie. I want her!”
On the other side of the phone, Justin was shocked hearing his son’s declaration. Before calling, he had prepared many reasons to stop his son like giving Tony some benefits so that they could have future cooperation. After all, a partner was better than an opponent. However, it was totally out of his expectation that he had something to do with Tony’s daughter. The girl came to his mind. She looked quiet and pretty. But Justin knew she was determined in her heart. Without knowing why, he felt a little uncertain. He frowned and then replied, “You told me you are staying in the Shen’s. The reason you do so is neither for better future cooperation nor for your preparation of the Fu’s succeeding. It is only for the sake of the girl?”
Saxon was determined and answered simply, “Yes!”
In Justin’s eyes, Saxon was carried away by the girl only. He was out of mind. Justin contained his anger and replied, “I feel you are not clear-headed at the moment. Do you know what you are doing?”
In the end, Justin was so irritated that he was even panting. Almost through his clenched teeth, he said, “Actually, I don’t agree you to change school. No one will be so idiotic to change school at the time when they will go to college within two months! However, I respected you, because I supposed you had your reason to do so. That’s why I agreed with you without asking the reason. But now you tell me you do that only for the sake of a girl.”
It was in Saxon’s expectation that his father would be mad about his decision. So he stayed calm and answered his father again determinedly, “I’ll get her, only her!”
Justin was shocked to hear that. He closed his mouth firmly, but he didn’t put down the phone. There was a silent confrontation in the phone between two the them. At last Saxon heard Justin sigh. He said, “Ok, I see. But I must remind you. You are the son of the Fu’s, the only heir. You must always remember what you are doing.”
Saxon didn’t reply. After a pause, he answered in a hoarse voice, “No, I won’t forget…” And he heard his father ring off the phone. Saxon stood in the dark for a long time. In the end he put down the phone. He looked lonely.
He seemed very tired leaning against the wall beside the window. He looked up to search for the only place where he would feel the warmth.
He looked outside at Winnie’s bedroom window murmuring to himself, “Only you can stop me from being lonely. So, you must belong to me.”
The next morning, Saxon and Winnie came out together. Winnie was very reluctant to come out with Saxon, but she could do nothing.
On the way, Winnie kept silent, but Saxon tried to talk to her. In order to make her happy, he even tried to tell jokes.
When it was near school, Winnie suddenly walked faster ahead of Saxon and said to him, “Then…I’ll go inside first…”. Without waiting for Saxon’s reply, she ran into the school.
Saxon was a little disappointed seeing Winnie in such a hurry. He paused for a while and walked slowly into the school.
At the same time, Rod was standing near them witnessing everything. He was dumbfounded to see that two of them come to school together. He was wondering about their relationship. He shook his head and stared at Saxon’s back viciously.
As soon as Saxon entered the classroom, he saw some students were standing around his desk. He frowned. He felt quite disturbed. But his heart sank when he got near his desk, because he heard Winnie’s name mentioned.
He quickened his steps and got to his desk. He pushed the people there aside. He saw Winnie was standing before her desk biting her teeth. She looked like a deserted child.
There on the desk, which had been clean the day before, was carved with two big words, “A Bitch!” Saxon’s heart sank. He looked sharply around. He could only see the noisy discussing people. He then said coldly and sarcastically, “I’ve never imagined you are only that kind of gossiping people.”
